ABSTRACT
Batangas province has a distinct feature compared to the rest of the
provinces in the country in terms of deep and natural harbor and strategic
geographic location. It is endowed with rich and fertile lands and fine and
beautiful beaches that is being developed to harness to the fullest its tourism
potentials and productivity.
Tourism is one of the vital industries that enhance the growth of economy
in the Province of Batangas. Batangas is endowed with natural richness
developed into tourism resources.
The municipality of San Juan, located at the tip portion of Batangas
Province was identified by the Department of Tourism as a priority area of
Tourism Development under the Philippine Tourism Master Plan.
The study will help to enhance the tourism industry in San Juan and more
number of local and international tourists will enjoy their stay in this tourist area.
The study will use the concept of biophilic design, to increase occupant
connectivity to the natural environment through the use of direct nature, indirect
nature, and space and place conditions.
One of the challenges of the study is the steady stream of market.
Another drawback is the existing related facilities which can be a threat for
rivalry. Through marketing strategies and the use of modern technologies, the
proposal will be a prominent destination for single, group and family gatherings
and leisure get away from the city.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
The researcher would like to extend her warmest gratitude to those who become
part of her journey in accomplishing this research study. She would like to thank them
from the bottom of her heart, because this study would not be completed without the
help and support of several people.
The researcher would like to offer the biggest acknowledgement to the Lord God,
for the strength the He always provides when she felt weak and the guidance He has
bestowed upon her during the times that the researcher wanted to give up.
The researcher is also very grateful for all the support, whether financially,
morally, physically or spiritually, that came from her family. She recognizes the great
effort of her family on how they provide financial assistance for it is the struggle they face
at the very beginning of this study. She is very thankful for all the prayers they had given
when finishing this study seems very impossible.
To her classmates, the researcher is blessed to have people like them in her life.
As the saying goes, quality over quantity. They may have been not more in number, but
the researcher guarantees that extreme happiness happens when they have all the time
to be together.
To the instructors and faculty members of Architecture, Interior Design, and Fine
Arts Department, who played a big part in nourishing and enhancing the researcher’s
knowledge for the past years until the day that she is ready to face this bigger challenge
in her student life, thank you. They are the reason behind every challenge that the
researcher tries to surpass, and the fulfilment of this thesis proposal is the greatest gift
the researcher could give back to them.
