Service Message – RRE, 8FBRE: Introduction of new firmware
BSM: 0958

1. Description
Below is a brief description of the most important differences in the new
firmware.
• Error code 5:182-184 for OTP has been removed (it is now 5:080 in-
stead).
• The valve calibration of the Ergo cab will now be operational.
• Error code 4:190 has been removed.
• Reduced need for end stop calibration of the extension movement.
• The function of the travel direction selector in the speed control was
changed. It now has the same function as that of the travel direction se-
lector on the instrument panel.
• New error code 5:181. Reference sensor error. The travel speed is re-
duced to 8 km/h and the compass card becomes inactive. Measure in
case of error code: Inspect the steering angle sensor [B17] and verify
that the conductor to [X130:25] is intact.
• Changed error code 4.195. Changed to 1.5 metre below max. free-lift
height or 0.6 metre from the ground.
• To actively lower the cab when it has been tilted, the operator must be
present in his seat while the left foot switch must remain activated.
• If Ergo is active, it is not possible to lower the forks unless the safety
switch has been activated.
• Revised conditions for error indication in case of error code 2:580
• The functionality of the safety switch (left foot switch / door) has been
changed. Instead of a 1-second delay, the truck will now start braking im-
mediately when the signal is interrupted.
• Parameter 101 has been changed. The increment value has been
changed from 100 to 1.

Service Message – RRE, 8FBRE: Introduction of new firmware
BSM: 0958

2. Procedure
For trucks already in the field, the new firmware is available from the firmware
web site under the following part numbers.

Model Firmware
RRE 140 - 250 260038-006
8FBRE 14 - 25 261479-006
NOTE:
This firmware alters the behaviour of the height measurement function. This
means that once the new firmware has been downloaded, height calibration
must be recalibrated in order to optimize transfer to and lifts to the maximum
lift height.
NOTE:
HPS (Height Preselection) must be reset for all heights to assure correct en-
try in the pallet.
