Virtual Simulation for Graphic Design

1. The document proposes a capstone project titled "D.I.Y – Design It Yourself: Graphics and Fabric Solutions Using Virtual Simulation". 2. It aims to create a virtual simulation tool that allows clients to design their own brands or ideas using pre-existing models. This would allow for faster and more reliable transactions between clients and graphic designers. 3. The objectives are to identify the impact of virtual simulations on the relationship between graphic designers and clients, understand customer perceptions of the new approach, and identify customer and seller reactions to the virtual graphics design simulation.

Proposed Project Title 1:
D.I.Y – Design It Yourself: Graphics and Fabric Solutions Using Virtual Simulation

1.0 Area of Investigation:

Creative workers come up with imaginative, unique ideas without thinking about the client’s
brand. Graphic Designers present the work with little regard for how well it actually matches
the client’s style and voice. The simple truth is that not all great ideas are great fits for any
client. Consider a cybersecurity company that prides itself on being no-nonsense, cover-all-
the-bases, serious experts. On the flip side, a slick 3D animation that never shows a person’s
face is not going to work for a brand that focuses on personality. They researchers come up
with an idea that it will help the clients and also the graphics designers. Its function is to create
a virtual simulation with pre-existing models whereas the client can design their own brand or
idea. From this idea, it’s essential that the client can describe how graphics designer will
analyze and measure their brand. Provide details about the assets they propose to make, the
way graphic designers will monitor user engagement, and how they will adjust or alter their
approach based on how the client’s customers respond. Giving the benefit of faster and
reliable transaction between client and creatives.

2.0 Background and Rationale of the Project:

A Design System is an ecosystem of components, interfaces, guidelines, architecture and
processes, to satisfy requirements of a product or organization, and build deliberate outcome.
The intent of this proposal is to better understand the importance of helping beginner and
established graphic designers to engage in empathic practices before they are asked to
empathize with users and clients.

Graphic design is one of the elements of today’s environment. It communicates meanings,

identifies things, navigates people, and imparts knowledge in physical visible forms. We can
see it everywhere: in the street signs, books, newspapers, packages, labels, clothes, billboards,
etc. Since ideas and messages find their visual appearance in printed, published, or other
visual forms, this means there are clients that order these design projects and designers that
make them a reality. Since there are many examples of great and poor design, this means
creative cooperation may be effective and clear or mutual understanding may be missed. In
this context, relationships between the graphic designer and a client become the main topic of
this research. This work aims to discover the reasons of spoiling of relations and offer practical
guidelines that help graphic designers and their clients to improve their business cooperation.

In order to reach the main goal, this study describes the idea of the graphic designer and a
client. Graphic designer is a mediator of ideas between producer and consumer and creator of
experiences that can change behavior of individuals. In this context, designer’s social
responsibilities, inner culture, education, career opportunities, and professional growth stay in

the focus of this research. Since design is a result of designer’s activity, designer is responsible

for success or failure of the project. However, client acts as equal in rights participant of the
design process. This research presents a client from the position on corporate ladder and level
of familiarization with design.

3.0 Statement of Objectives:

3.1. Identify the impact of Virtual Simulation approach between graphic designers and
clients and the client’s wants and needs in their brand.
3.2. Distinguish the customers’ perceptions towards the new approach pitching and giving
ideas.
3.3. Identify the actions of customers’ and sellers’ positive or negative take to Virtual
Simulation of Graphics Designing.

4.0 Scope and Limitations of the Study:

Scope: The study is centered on D.I.Y – Design It Yourself: Graphics and Fabric Solutions Using
Virtual Simulation. The researchers concentrate on the degree of efficiency and its reliability in
the field of graphics designing and advertising.

Limitation: This study will only cover D.I.Y – Design It Yourself: Graphics and Fabric Solutions
Using Virtual Simulation. The study would be done through the utilization of questionnaires to
the sellers as a survey and reference. By this strategy, the researchers will be able to know D.I.Y
– Design It Yourself: Graphics and Fabric Solutions Using Virtual Simulation.

5.0 Target Beneficiaries:

 Sellers
 Customers
 Promoters
 Clients
