Story Retelling Assessment Rubric

This rubric evaluates story retellings based on how well they convey characters, setting, problem, and solution. It assesses these elements as high quality if they provide clear details, acceptable if they include some but not all key information, and needing attention if they are confusing or missing important content. Students are scored out of 20 points for each section based on how fully they describe the essential story elements in their retelling.
