I. INTRODUCTION
Over seven billion people, each and everyone experience being discriminated against by
the way they act or concern about their belief, religion and how they race. We as humans
have differences that we need to respect. Racism is one of the serious social issues here
on earth that until now we still see or feel. As a human being and a student I’m not agree
on this kind of discrimination because we are all human we must see or look to each
individual equally no matter how they race or how they look. We have a right to live and
a right to be respected. Each individual must fight for their rights because even if you
have differences with them and they see you as an outcast, you must prove to them that
your appearance doesn’t define who you are, that even if you have a dark skin or have a
different religion, you still belong to them. Racism issue keep reminding us that there is
lot of people suffering because of discrimination that’s why we must stop racism and
spread love in order for us to have peace and unity in our mind, to have a better or well
develop world.
I’m sure that one of you is also against this social issue because we want a peaceful and
united country but how would we do it if we prejudice or discriminate against someone
by their looks, color or religion. It may cause some trouble like it may create war against
two organizations or groups like for example conflict between black and white
Americans during the 90 years between the Civil War and the civil rights movement,
racism had a way of hiding from Americans who didn't want to see it. According to the
Constitution, blacks had the right to vote; but in fact, all over the South they were kept
away from the polls by taxes, literacy tests, and shotguns. According to custom, blacks
had equal though separate facilities; but in fact, their schools were run-down and their
bus seats were at the back. According to law, murder was illegal; but in fact, week after
week, blacks were lynched on dark nights while white sheriffs looked the other way.
(Scholastic Search, April 1992) This is one of the reason that we should be color blind in
each individual anti racism advocate equality despite of differences and so we can see the

true beauty of a human being if we just open our eyes and forget all the problems or issue
of differences we must practices believe that treating people equally inherently leads to a
more equal society. We must focus on the content of each character to fully say whether
that person is good or not. We must say no to racism because we have rights as human
beings who are part of the society and help to create a well developed world.

Racism is the belief that a particular race is superior or inferior to another, that a person’s
social and moral traits are predetermined by his or her inborn biological characteristics.
Racial separatism is the belief, most of the time based on racism, that different races
should remain segregated and apart from one another. Racism has existed throughout
human history. It may be defined as the hatred of one person by another or the belief that
another person is less than human because of skin color, language, customs, place of birth
or any factor that supposedly reveals the basic nature of that person. It has influenced
wars, slavery, the formation of nations, and legal codes. ([Link]
Racism is not a joke, it can hurt each individual. And if you think it’s funny, not being
discriminated against can cause trouble in a single person, it can cause depression and
might lead to death. In other views racism is a heavy issue in each country, that’s why
I’m here to tell you that you should respect each one of us for you to be respected by
others it’s just like if you do something good it has a positive effect on you. We cannot
forget that we have a classification in life, for example rich people who are in the higher
class and poor who are in the lower class. There are some situations that rich people
discriminate persons in a lower class because of their status in life or what they have and
the people in that lower class will get mad or want to take a revenge in rich people, if you
notice it’s just cycle you don’t respect other they also don’t respect you as human being
instead their madness is higher than you have to them.

During the past 500-1000 years, racism on the part of Western powers toward non-
Westerners has had a far more significant impact on history than any other form of
racism (such as racism among Western groups or among Easterners, such as Asians,
Africans, and others). The most notorious example of racism by the West has been
slavery, particularly the enslavement of Africans in the New World (slavery itself dates
back thousands of years). This enslavement was accomplished because of the racist belief
that Black Africans were less fully human than white Europeans and their descendants.
This belief was not "automatic": that is, Africans were not originally considered inferior.
When Portuguese sailors first explored Africa in the 15th and 16th centuries, they came
upon empires and cities as advanced as their own, and they considered Africans to be
serious rivals. Over time, though, as African civilizations failed to match the
technological advances of Europe, and the major European powers began to plunder the
continent and forcibly remove its inhabitants to work as slave laborers in new colonies
across the Atlantic, Africans came to be seen as a deficient "species," as "savages." To an
important extent, this view was necessary to justify the slave trade at a time when
Western culture had begun to promote individual rights and human equality. The
willingness of some Africans to sell other Africans to European slave traders also led to
claims of savagery, based on the false belief that the "dark people" were all kinsmen, all
part of one society — as opposed to many different, sometimes warring nations. One
important feature of racism, especially toward Blacks and immigrant groups, is clear in
attitudes regarding slaves and slavery. Jews are usually seen by anti-Semites as
subhuman but also superhuman: devilishly cunning, skilled, and powerful. Blacks and
others are seen by racists as merely subhuman, more like beasts than men. If the focus of
anti-Semitism is evil, the focus of racism is inferiority — directed toward those who have
sometimes been considered to lack even the ability to be evil (though in the 20th century,
especially, victims of racism are often considered morally degraded).

Another example of racism is the holocaust were in the Jewish people is being
discriminated by their differences in religion and how they race. In that event the Jewish
holocaust or the Jews became slave and ruled by the leader Named Adolf Hitler to the
point that they die without fighting for their rights because the government in that era or
year follow the party list of Adolf Hitler which is they want the Jews to suffer a lot and
lead to death rather that German people because of their differences how they race and
their religion. It’s hard to be discriminated against because of your differences. That's
why I’m here to tell you that racism is not a joke, it can destroy a life so we must respect
each individual and learn to be blind by their physical appearance and try to love them
who they really are. (Monarba, 2019)
In this era or in the modern world we still experience racism. Example are the Indigenous
Tribe of the Philippines which is the Aeta many people still see or look up to them or
make fun of them because of their color or their physical appearance that they have,
because we all know that the Aeta are considered to be Negritos, who are dark to very
dark brown-skinned and tend to have features such as a small stature, small frame, curly
to kinky afro-like textured hair with a higher frequency of naturally lighter hair color
(blond) relative to the general population, small nose, and dark brown eyes. Filipinos
nowadays if there is a different appearance or have weird clothes they laugh and make
fun of a certain person they didn’t mind or appreciate the true beauty and the content of
character of each individual. Learn to love each individual and find some positive
features in him/her because each person has a different and unique beauty.
III. CONCLUSION
Different people, different organizations or religions, different color and appearance but
despite these differences we are the same created by one and only god and classified as a
human being. Stop or prevent racism because eventually it can hurt or cause some trouble

in a certain group or person. We as human beings must open our eyes and see the inner
beauty of each individual. We should not look or base their physical appearance on how
we treat people.
Therefore I conclude to prevent or stop Racism it is a serious matter so we should respect
and look each individual equally without judging them who they really are and stop
discriminating even a single person because of how they look because their true beauty is
within. We just need to appreciate it and respect it to have a good connection in each
individual for a better world for the next generations. Respect is the only way for us to
bind together, because we are classified as human beings who have feelings that can be
hurt and brains that must function well to respect each individual difference.
