End of Module reflection

1. Acquisition

This module has provided for me how to Understand how decision making has been viewed and
how this has changed from the rational to the pragmatic and Understand how decisions actually
are made in practice, and the consequences of that for crisis thinking.

Lectures have a broad understanding, very competent in giving explanations. This lecture
describes the process of problem detection, identifies some ways that problem detection can
fail, covers some barriers to problem detection at the team/organizational level, examines some
of the lessons we have learned about problem detection from Covid-19, and suggests some
tactics and techniques to support better problem detection.

In this study, it certainly gives consideration to me when I make decisions when faced with a
problem in the provision of health services

2. Inquiry and Discussion 

When I followed this lesson, I thought I should know more, such as how to follow up on handling H7N9
influenza in hospitals.
This summary is very interesting. While obtaining information of China’s H7N9 outbreak, an instant
telephone conference was called, and strategies were initiated. Within five days, a DOH
Infectious Disease Control meeting on policies, an ‘H7N9 influenza zone’ on the TCDC website, a
declaration of ‘H7N9 influenza’ as a notifiable disease and activation of ‘H7N9 influenza Central
Epidemic Command Center’ was conducted. The surveillance and transmission interruption
measures were activated. The CECC was finished one year and 8 days later.

3. Practice and Collaboration  


In the future, of course, we all hope to be better. After this lesson, I will collaborate with other health
teams when faced with a problem, for example China’s H7N9 outbreak, how to solve it. Of course,
decisions are made with various considerations.
if the incident happened in the health facility that I lead, I would treat the same thing as in the module
as the incident China’s H7N9 outbreak.
The available modules really help me in managing management related to health services at my health
facility
