SAP Landscape Document

This document is to understand about the SAP Landscape and Importance
of it: -

In SAP terminology landscape means, server aliment. To do implementation


and support project in SAP, landscape plays a vital role.

Landscape of the server is divided into 3 servers. This server is identified with
client numbers. The purpose of having 3 servers is explained below.

Development Quality Production


Server Server Server

1. Development Server: -

For development sever only the consultant will have the access for
this sever development sever client don’t have the access for the
sever. Development sever the consultant will start development the
configurations based on the business blueprint signoff.
 The configurations are done the SPRO screen or IMG Screen.
 SPRO Stand for – System Project Reference Object
 IMG Stand for – Implementation Guide

When we are configuration the business sceneries have per the client
request the system will generate TR (Transport Request) with the help of
the TR in the business scenery will be importing to the quality &
production sever.

2. Quality Server (Client)

For this sever consultant & the client will have the access for this sever.
Quality sever pure meant for testing purposes. In quality sever we not
do any configuration.
In quality sever we will create or mainted all type of master data.
For e.g: - G/L Master data
Customer Master data
Vendor master data
Asset master data
(creation of cost centre, profit centre internal order etc.)

3. Production severs

For this sever only the client will have access.


Production sever is properly meant for or used for to record day to day
transaction
to pull the internal & external report.

Type of screen in Sap.

 In sap we have two types of screen.


 Sap easy access screen. (default screen)
 SPRO Screen.

 Sap easy access screen. (default screen)


This screen will be access by end-user, where there use the screen to
record the day to day transaction to create the master data & to pull
the report.

 SPRO screen
This screen is access by consultant or ABAP team in this screen all the
customization will be done.

Type of TR (Transport Request)

 There are two types of TR


 Workbench request
 Customization request

 Basic Full forms of word ECC, EHP, GUI & IDES


 ECC - ERP Central Component
 EHP - Enhancement Package
 GUI - Graphical User Interface
 IDES - Internet Demonstration and Education System.
