CESSNA C172R NORMAL CHECKLIST

DO NOT REMOVE FROM AIRCRAFT

ALL OPERATIONS MUST BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE AIRCRAFT FLIGHT MANUAL.
FOR ANY ITEM NOT REFERED TO IN THIS
CHECKLIST- REFER TO AIRCRAFT FLIGHT MANUAL.

ALL CHECKLISTS

The procedure to open the checklist is to callout the checks to be performed,

such as “Before Takeoff Checks”. Once that checklist is complete it must be
closed by stating “Before Takeoff Checks complete”.

Checklist items without a bold boarder should be completed with direct reference
to the checklist and the necessary action performed. Checklists with a bold
boarder around the corresponding actions are required to be performed by
memory.

Where a check states “as required” the actual position of the switch or action
must be stated. For example FUEL PUMPS…AS REQ must be called out as
FUEL PUMPS ON (or OFF).

EMERGENCY CHECKLIST

Some Emergency checklists have actions which must be completed in a time

critical manner. These are known as ‘Recall Items’ and must be memorized such
that they can be completed accurately every time. A recall item is indicated in the
ab-normal checklist by a bold boarder around the actions, and bold text, as
follows:
