Cholecystitis

1) The patient reported acute pain in the facial area related to inflammation and tissue distortion. 2) On examination, the patient exhibited a facial mask of pain, guarding behavior, and self-focusing. Vital signs were taken. 3) The plan was to observe the patient, document the location, severity and character of pain, promote rest and position change, and use soft linens, calamine lotion, oil baths, and cool compresses as needed to relieve the pain. The goal was to relieve or control the patient's pain within 5 hours of nursing interventions.
