find a sharper focus with Lion’s Mane.
CORDYCEPS MUSHROOM +1.50
Cordyceps has a long history of enhancing power, endurance and performance. Whether
it be for athletic performance or cruising through your work day without loading up
on caffeine, cordyceps makes for a great substitute. Very popular with athletes,
particularly those in endurance categories. Commonly used as a pre-workout as it
increases our V02 max and the ability for the body to uptake oxygen. At the same time
it is known as an adaptogen helping support the immune system during times of
stress. It really is perfect for those needing extra energy whether it be during sport
or a long day at work. The flavour of cordyceps is mild and creamy.
REISHI +1.50
Reishi Mushroom has been used throughout Asia and
in Chinese medicine history to strengthen immunity,
reduce stress, assist in a good nights sleep and promote longevity. Also known as
Ling Zhi, meaning spiritual
potency, it is believed to promote calmness for those needing to unwind.
SHITAKI +1.50
shitaki is high in antioxidants, vitamin's and minerals. In lab studies it has
shown to have medicinal compounds which can treat tumours and infection.

The Turkey Tail mushroom is thought to contain bioactive compounds in the form of

Considerable research suggests Chaga is a powerful
immune boosting, skin-nourishing mushroom which has the highest source of
antioxidants gram for gram in the world. It is also high in
potassium, zinc and has wonderful energy promoting effects.

Jarra Infusion Story P9
Jarra Infusion came about through Nic’s
love of creating and bringing the community together. Thus, building a place
where its character is an energy that makes people feel welcome, accepted and
just free to be themselves and enjoy the space.
This strong sense of community is what drives the Jarra Infusion ethos
of community development, local government, and business partnerships. Jarra
Infusion opened in late 2016 with 3 staff members and has grown over the past 4
years to 22 members. They all contribute their individuality, energy and
inspiration which makes this place the vibrant and ever changing inclusive place it is.
The building and seating area grew gradually as needed. Initially, there was the small
heritage building, a small toilet and some grassed area directly behind. Approximately
6 months later, Nic realised that the business would need some more
indoor space for the winter periods and began the concept of the back room. Due
to the heritage nature of the brick building, some creativity (Supplied by Nic)
and ingenuity (Supplied by her Dad, Ross) was needed to create a room that was
draught free. Cozy in winter and cool in summer… A stand alone room made from a
patio and pivoting doors was built. This was fantastic and winter was warm. But
then Nic realized what happens if the weather is good and we just built a room
on our lovely lawn. So, as happens in Jarra Infusion, some out of the box
thinking by one of the local musicians, Chris, bought about an idea of leasing
the land next door and creating a new outdoor area. Lastly, another toilet was
needed and it was through this process that it became evident that there was a
whole other parcel of land that belonged to Jarra Infusion. At least that could
turn into another garden area and yiipppeeee… a second garden was created.
Like with any new business, it has sometimes felt like an uphill battle both financially
and emotionally for owner/creator Nic. She has shared laughter, tears,
hyperventilation and joywith all the staff members and open/friendly customers.
Five years in, she sees that every emotion and every second has been worth it
for this amazing community, space, and business.
We have been very blessed from the start
with beautiful customers who share their love for Jarra Infusion, thus, helping
the café to organically grow. Their joy and openness in being part of Jarra can
be seen in the connections with their loved ones over a cuppa,
laughter, tears and cuddles. We feel so very grateful for their generosity,
produce, creative nik naks, tablecloths, things that mean something
to them that needs a good home, or bringing in their handmade creations to
sell. It has been important for people to feel a sense
of inclusion when they come to Jarra Infusion.
Sometimes life can be a bit isolating and if we can
make Jarra Infusion somewhere that people from all walks

Jarra Infusion strives to be a cohesive space which enables a “happy”
synergy between staff and customers, the environment and community. We
feel it is essential to maintain healthy humans with our seating
arrangements and to contribute to a healthier environment whilst creating
financial security, thus sustaining the business into the future. Our use of
bio friendly products which are composted for mulch and worm food at the
Pinjarra Community Garden reduces the need for heavy chemicals, excess
water consumption, and energy required to heat dishwasher water to 90
degrees plus allowing our staff to prioritise our most important customers,
cleaning and sanitisation.
To our most important customers, hold in your heart the knowledge that any
changes you see are here to sustain our creative energies and keep this
whimsical space alive. We feel with the gift of this space comes a great
responsibility to provide you with not only the freshest choices to eat but to
ensure you leave with as much whimsy in your heart and the gift of sharing
this space with your loved ones
