ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT ON FILIPINO VALUES
MONTH CELEBRATION
A. Introduction
We are yearly celebrating Filipino Values Month Celebration especially in
the month of November. In connection with this, the values officers organized
some activities that would connect to enhance and develop the skills and talent
of the pupils.
The celebration of Filipino Values Month in November, pursuant to
Proclama-tion No. 479 issued on October 7, 1994, is an effective measure to
create moral awakening and national consciousness on unique, positive, and
genuine values held important by the Filipino people in their daily lives.
The family is at the forefront of instilling values among Filipino youth,
with the home as the place for nurturing and strengthening values. Schools
reinforce these values by providing opportunities for the youth to observe the
values that they have imbibed at home and in their interactions with peers and
superiors.
This celebration adhere to the core values of education— makaDiyos (pro-
God), makatao (pro-people), makabayan (pro-country), and makakalikasan (pro-
nature) . These values reflect the country’s rich customs and practices that are
instilled early in life. Last year, the Filipino Values Month was celebrated with
the theme: “Ang Kabataang Pilipino sa Gitna ng Globalisasyon”.
As our support to the government, the Orchard Elementary School which
is headed by Ms. Rosemarie D. Lozano, celebrated the culmination month last
November 2018. In connection with this, the values teachers organized some
activities that would connect to enhance and develop the skills and talent of the
pupils. There was a program participated by all grade levels. In this celebration,
