Cause Effect Matrix

The document outlines the cause and effect matrix for a fire alarm system. It details the various detection devices that could activate the system, such as smoke detectors, heat detectors, and manual call points on different floors. It describes the alarm indications and notifications that would occur locally and be transmitted to a supervising station in the event of a fire, fault, or trouble alarm. These include annunciation, audible alarms, strobes, and transmission of the appropriate alarm signal. It also lists additional protective actions that would be triggered like evacuation signals, door release, elevator shutdown, and damper closure.
