Answer:: Q1 (B) Explain The Importance of The Isnad and The Matn in Deciding That Hadthbis Authetic

The document discusses how hadiths were judged for authenticity. It explains that hadiths have two parts: the isnad (chain of narrators) and the matn (text). Early scholars carefully evaluated hadiths to verify the reliability of the narrators in the isnad and ensure the matn accurately reflected the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. They developed principles to distinguish acceptable hadiths from fabricated ones, given some non-Muslims aimed to spread inauthentic hadiths. An example isnad and matn is provided to illustrate the two components of a hadith.

Q1 (b) Explain the importance of the isnad and the matn in

deciding that Hadthbis authetic(4)

Answer:
Hadiths consist of two main parts, the chain of
narrators (isnad) and the text (matn). It was
therefore important to verify the authenticity of the
Hadiths so that Muslims could live their lives in
line with the correct teachings of the Prophet.

Q6: (a) How did the compilers of Hadith judge between

acceptable and unacceptable Hadith. (10)

Answer:
In the second century of the Hijrah, the
Muhaddithun devoted all their attention to
compiling the hadiths. This was because some
hypocrites and non-Muslims wanted to falsify the
hadiths. Imam Bukhari and other scholars took this
seriously and introduced some principles to ensure
the authenticity of the hadiths. A hadith is divided
into 2 parts, the first part is the sand and the
second is the man. For example, a hadith
transmitted from Imam Bukhari reads as follows:
"It is narrated to us from Ubaidullah who said that
he heard Hanzalah who heard from Ikramah who
said that he heard Ibn-e-Umar who narrated from
the Prophet SAW: "Islam is based on five pillars
which carry the wines that Allah is One and
Muhammad is His Messenger, the institution of
regular prayer, the payment of regular charity,
fasting in the month of Ramadan and annual
pilgrimage." The first part that mentions the chain
of tradition is the Sanad and the second part that
is the main part or text is the Matn.
