ACTIVITY 3.
SUMMATIVE TEST
1. What is the importance of identifying the Aspects of Fitness and Components of Health-
related Fitness?
Identifying the Aspects of Fitness and Components of Health-related Fitness can help a
person be aware of his/her capacities and assist him/her on what he/she should focus or
prioritize improving. Both are related and vital to achieve the level of fitness that can be
distinctly seen through physical physique and/or felt through the perception of a person in
terms of mental, emotional and social aspect. As what Aristotle asserts, our body is the
temple of our soul; therefore, identifying the level of physical fitness and refining thereof such
as cardio-respiratory fitness, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, and body
composition radiates and permeates to other aspects of fitness–mental, social, and
emotional.
2. What will be the contribution to your lifestyle if you apply the principles of training?
It drives me to have a more disciplined lifestyle. Applying the principles of training when
exercising compels me to discipline myself–not overworking my muscles and constantly
reminding myself that it is not an overnight progress. Definitely, the principles of training can
also extend my patience and self-control. Exercising takes a lot of patience and motivation to
diligently continue and distinctly see the progress; it may be subtle but there is change that's
materializing within a person who does exercising when he/she zooms out. Furthermore, it
can make my sedentary lifestyle generally more active. And having an active lifestyle means
having a healthy lifestyle, with the complement of a healthy diet. Moreover, I noticed that
people who regularly exercise (obviously applying the principles of training as it is basically
the guide for exercising) are more happy and lively with their lives affecting their lifestyles.
3. How will you overcome the barriers to Physical Activity?
Personally, the primary barrier that hinders me from executing physical activities is myself. I
don't have the motivation or inspiration to perform various physical activities. Moreover, the
thought of exerting an ample effort drains me cognitively and I shun sweating as I dislike the
sticky aftereffects of exercising. I content myself that even though I am not exercising, at
least I'm constantly eating healthy foods. But if I find the motivation to overcome physical
activities, surely I would exert time and effort to perform such activities. Also, lack of
equipment can deter execution of physical activities. To topple this barrier, I can be
resourceful with what I currently have in the home discovering alternatives to properly and
successfully perform exercises.
