(16) Tilt Section
(17) Lift Section
Hydraulic implement pump (2) is a three-section fixed displacement gear pump.
Rear section (15) provides oil flow for the control manifold group, the control valve for the RATAAC
and pilot oil for the dual tilt control valve.
Tilt section (16) provides oil flow for the control spool for the blade tilt. Tilt section (16) also provides
oil flow to the spools for the blade and the ripper, when the TILT function is not used.
Lift section (17) provides oil for the spools that control the blade and the ripper.
Implement pump (2) is mounted to the upper right portion of the engine flywheel housing.

(19) Buttons (ABA Control)
(20) Blade Control Lever
Blade control lever (20) controls the movement of the blade. Moving the lever forward will move the
blade down. Similarly, moving the lever backward will move the blade up. Moving the lever left and
right tilts the blade. Thumb switch (18) controls blade pitch. Buttons (19) control the Auto Blade Assist
(ABA). Left button (19) activates ABA. Right button (19) activates manual mode. The trigger switch on
the back of the lever (not shown) toggles between the single tilt and dual tilt or dual tilt and the single
tilt.
Blade control lever (20) is located on the right console of the operator station.

Ripper control handle (23) controls the movement of the ripper (if equipped). The upper portion of
thumb switch (21) raises the ripper. The upper portion of thumb switch (21) also lowers the ripper.
Switch (22) moves the shank in and the switch also moves the shank out. Button (24) activates the Auto
Stow function.
Ripper control lever (23) is located to the rear of the blade control lever on the right console of the
operator station.

Implement lockout switch (25) de-energizes the implement lockout solenoid in order to block pilot oil.
When pilot oil is not available, the implements are disabled.
Switch (25) is located on the panel above the right console of the operator station. The implement
lockout switch is the first switch from the left.

(F) Pressure Tap for Pilot Supply Pressure ("HPS")
Control manifold group (11) regulates the pressure of the pilot supply oil to a predetermined setting. If
engine power is lost, control manifold group (11) has the capability of lowering the implements in
certain conditions.
Control manifold group (11) contains the following:
z (A) diverter valve
z (B) pressure reducing valve
z (C) lower valve
z (D) pilot relief valve
z (E) implement lockout valve
z (F) pressure tap for pilot supply pressure
The control manifold group also contains a screen and a port for the pilot oil filter.
Control manifold group (11) is mounted to the front of the main case below the pilot manifold.

(1) Quick-Drop Valves
Quick-drop valves (1) allow the blade to quickly drop to the ground by allowing the head end oil and the
rod end oil of the lift cylinders to mix. Also, the valves minimize the pause time after the blade hits the
ground and before the blade exerts full down pressure.
Quick-drop valves (1) are mounted to the top of each lift cylinder.
Note: If the tractor is equipped with Auto Carry, there is one quick-drop valve.

(3) Accumulator and the Control Valve for the RATAAC
The accumulator helps maintain pressure during momentary drops in system pressure. The control valve
for the RATAAC directs the required amount of hydraulic oil to the fan motor for the RATAAC.
The accumulator and the control valve for the RATAAC are located on the implement pump.

Hydraulic tank (6) is an oil reservoir for the entire hydraulic system. Two filters (26) and (27) in the
hydraulic tank will prevent debris in the oil that returns from the implement control valves and the two
fan circuits from damaging hydraulic system components. The hydraulic tank contains the following:

Hydraulic oil tank (6) is located on the rear of the machine, mounted on the right fender just in front of
the fuel tank.

Case drain screen (33) removes debris in the return oil. This prevents damage to the hydraulic system
components. Case drain screen (33) filters oil from the following sources:
z Case drain from the pump for the demand fan and the control valve for the demand fan
z Relief valve for the RATAAC
z Fan motor for the RATAAC
z Pilot oil return from the dual tilt valve (If Equipped)
Pilot oil return line (36) collects pilot return oil from the implement control valves and from the pilot
manifold.
Hydraulic oil filters (26) and (27) are located in the hydraulic tank on the rear of the machine. The
hydraulic tank is mounted on the right fender just in front of the fuel tank.

(4) Pilot Oil Filter
Pilot oil filter (4) prevents debris in the implement pump oil from entering the pilot circuit. This
prevents damage to the components in the pilot system.
The pilot oil filter is mounted to the inside of the right fender inside a compartment. The compartment is
to the right of the step.
Pressure Taps
The hydraulic pressure taps allow convenient testing of the conditions in the implement hydraulic
system. Fifteen pressure taps are placed in the implement hydraulic system.

(7) Hydraulic Temperature Sensor
(34) Filter Bypass Switch
Hydraulic oil temperature sensor (7) measures the temperature of the oil in the hydraulic oil tank. The
sensor sends a signal to the ECM for the hydraulic system that indicates the hydraulic oil temperature.
Hydraulic oil temperature sensor (7) is located on the left side of the hydraulic oil tank (6) just in front
of the fuel tank.
Bypass switch (34) sends a signal to the ECM for the hydraulic system if the return oil from the demand
fan and the RATAAC is bypassing the hydraulic oil filter.
