This virtual orientation for the parents of incoming grade five focuses about strengthening learning
process in this new normal situation in Education. This also provide deep understanding on how we
can bounce back to have quality education despite of this pandemic situation, wherein the
Department of Education gives amendment by offering and implementing different types of learning
modalities throughout the school year.
The orientation started at exactly 06:00 pm. A nationalistic video presentation was played, and a
prayer was offered to our Almighty as all the participants ask for the guidance of our Dear Lord for the
success of the said activity. Ms. Jonalyn M. Evangelista, Chairman of Grade Five gives warmth
welcome to all the participants followed by Mrs. Emelda H. Malolos, Principal – I of San Antonio
Elementary School give an inspirational message.
. The objectives for this orientation as follow:
• To Introduce grade five teachers to the parents of incoming grade five;
• Overview of Learning Continuity Plan (LCP)
- TUTOK to Learn (Transforming and Utilizing Tools of Knowledge Towards Literacy
Education and Response to the New Normal)

• To understand Modular distance learning (printed and non-printed) and setting rules for
Modular Distance learning that is aligned under the IATF precautionary measures about
Covid-19
 Grading system for the modular distance printed learning

Ms. Jonalyn mM. Malveda explained the Do’s and Don’ts during orientation and introduce all
the grade five teachers to the parents. Ms. Lailanie Recio discuss the rules or norms of group chat
as well as other social media platforms on how it can be serve as boon to both parties. Followed
by an overview of the school Learning Continuity Plan – TUTOK, wherein the speaker explain
what are the modalities the school offer to the pupils and what are the concrete plan to reach the
learners needs and give a quality education for the school year 2021-2022.
Mr. Ronie E Valladolid, explained the Modular Distance Learning. He tackled about the two
different kinds modular distance learning such as Printed Modules and Non-printed Modules
(Digital Learning). About the safety precautionary measures on implementing the printed modular
distance learning, Mrs. Janeth D. Filaro discuss the Guidelines and rules for pick-up and retrieval
of modules on their respective drop off point. Mrs. Jonna O. Galupo, present the class program
number 1 and discuss what was the difference of it from the usual class program that we had way
back then when face to face learning was still allowed.
Mrs. Elva S. Antonio discuss the guidelines about the grading system for the school year
2021-2022. She discuss the said topic with clear and vivid examples.
After all the speakers give their insights about their respective topics, the last part of the
program was the open forum wherein, parents are allowed to ask questions to clarify information
as well as their conceptions about the Learning Continuity Plan of the school (modular Distance
Learning).
To wrap up this activity, It was a smooth sailing orientation specially during the open forum
wherein the parents actively engage their selves and give question and they are satisfied with the
answers given by the teachers and principal.
