Security services solution providers committed to meeting the needs of its customers for protection from fire
and to keep them safe

• Established in November 2011 and incorporating Alpha Fire Services which was first set up in 1989

AUTOMATIC FIRE EXTINGUISHMENT SYSTEMS

• We design, supply and install fixed dry and wet chemical extinguishing systems, as well as halogenated
agent fire extinguishing, Halon alternative systems, and carbon dioxide fire extinguishing systems. We also
design and install automatic systems based on specialist tube technology that enables a directly connected
fire detection / discharge tube to act as an “all in one” detection and extinguishment system

• In the event of a fire the detection tube ruptures at the hot spot and discharges the extinguisher contents
directly on to the source of the fire

• Once correctly installed, our tube extinguishment systems provide constant automatic protection and
require minimal maintenance

• An optional pressure switch can be fitted to the unit and will provide an optional facility to sound alarms

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS

Water Fire Extinguishers

These are designed for universal use against
class A rated fires of solid matter such as
wood, paper, straw, coal and textiles. Typical
applications include offices and general
industrial uses.

Foam Fire Extinguishers

Foam spray extinguishers, (AFFF - Aqueous
Film Forming Foam), are ideal for multi-risk
situations where both Class A combustible
materials and Class B flammable liquid
risks are likely to be found, or where Class
B risks present a direct hazard. Foam spray
extinguishers are especially suitable for
Class B fires involving flammable liquids
such as oils, spirits, greases, fats and certain
plastics.

Powder Fire Extinguishers

Powder extinguishers are suitable for use on Class A, B and also Class C
type fires involving flammable gasses such as propane and butane. Powder
is also highly effective for electrical hazards.

CO2 Fire Extinguishers

Carbon Dioxide extinguishers are suitable for fires involving flammable

liquids and electrical hazards. The non-corrosive and non-conductive
qualities of CO2 make it an ideal choice for dealing with fires involving

FIRE SUSPENSSION SYSTEMS

SMOKE / HEAT EXTRACTION AND NATURAL VENTILATION SYSTEMS

During the process of escape from a building that is on fire, smoke tends to enter the common parts of the
building such as corridors, stairwells and the lobby. A smoke control system is designed to ventilate this
smoke and to protect the common stair, to ensure safe occupant escape, and clear access for the fire service

Alpha Fire works closely with S E Controls UK (a leading ventilation solution provider involved with many
prestigious and iconic building projects in the United Kingdom and internationally) to offer a comprehensive
range of Smoke Heat and Exhaust Ventilation systems (SHEV) suitable for any size or type of building. These
products are designed to facilitate the safe escape of occupants in the event of a fire and to enable the fire
to be fought in its early stages

They include:

• Automatic Opening Vents (AOVs) on the external wall of buildings or in vertical smoke shafts that can be
used to ventilate smoke from common areas

• Mechanical smoke ventilation systems that use powered fans to aid in the extraction of smoke

AEROSOL SUPRESSION SYSTEMS AND PRODUCTS

We are accredited and our technicians and engineers are trained in specifying and installation of the
DSPA® aerosol fire extinguishing systems

DSPA® is an Ozone Friendly and cost effective alternative to halon and is considered by many as an
extinguishing agent of the future. It is:

SPRINKLER SYSTEMS

Our teams of engineers and technicians provide expertise and assistance in designing and installing fire
sprinkler systems conforming to BS EN 12845 and NFPA regulations for industrial, commercial and residential
premises.

We use specialist fire sprinkler hydraulic calculation software that enables us to carry out hydraulic calculations
of fire sprinkler systems, water mist, medium and high velocity water spray systems, hydrants and foam/
water monitors systems. Our FHC hydraulic calculation software complies with 16 different national and
international design standards including EN 12845, BS 9251, FM, NFPA, CP 52, ASIB, and AS2118.1  for fire

on how to identify and use various types of fire extinguishers for optimum PROTECTION

Industry experts recon the increasing concerns worldwide over safety and security issues will drive up
spending on security technology, apparatus and appliances. This trend is reflected in the Middle East, with
countries in the region set to spend around US$ 2.1 billion on security-related equipment and services in
2010 with the surge expected to increase by 50% until 2013
