2) A three phase, 50 Hz transmission line of 200 km length has the following constants per
conductor per km: R = 0.26 Ω, XL = 0.39 Ω, B = j 2.75 × 10-6 mho. If the power at the
receiving end is 18 MVA at 0.8 pf lag and 132 kV (phase to phase), determine the using

3) A transmission line 200 km long has the following constants
Resistance per km = 0.15 Ω

Voltage at sending end is 132 kV. The transmission line is delivering 50 MVA at 0.85 pf
lagging at the receiving end. Calculate (Using both T and π method) i) sending end
voltage ii) sending end current iii) voltage regulation iv) Line efficiency.
4) Determine the sending end voltage, current, power and power factor for a 160 km section
of a 3-phase line delivering 50 MVA at 132 kV and pf 0.8 lagging. Also find the
efficiency and regulation of the line. Resistance per line 0.1557 Ω per km, spacing 3.7 m,
6.475 m, 7.4 m transposed. Evaluate the A, B, C, D parameters also. Diameter of
conductor 1.956 cm.
