Welcome, to take this test you need a headset with a microphone and a reliable internet connection.

Please put on your headset as shown in the picture. Put the microphone near your mouth. Do not remove your

Part A: Typing
This section allows you to get used to the keyboard and also measures your typing speed. You will have 60
seconds to type as much as you can. Type quickly and accurately. Keep typing until your time is up your work

Part C: Dictation
Please type each sentence exactly as you hear it. You will have 25 seconds for each sentence. Pay attention to

Part D: Passage reconstruction


You will have 30 seconds to read a paragraph after 30 seconds. The paragraph will disappear from the screen.
Then, you will have 90 seconds to reconstruct the paragraph. Show that you understood the passage by rewriting
it in your own words. Your answer will be scored for clear and accurate content, not word for word
memorization. After 90 seconds your work will be saved automatically
For example: You read the text for 30 seconds. Then, the text disappears next you reconstruct the paragraph
using your own words. You have 90 seconds.

Paragraph 1:
I'm sorry about all the confusion regarding your pay rate. Unfortunately, our budget has been cut and so we've
had to reduce the amount that we can offer. I hope this clears things up but do come back to me if you'd like
more information.

Paragraph 2:
Employees who wish to take time off during the summer should check with their managers in advance. Many
people plan to be away from the office during the summer. As a company, we'd like to make sure all projects
have enough people working on them before we approve requests for time off.

Paragraph 3:
I'm pleased that you'll be in the city next month. It would be wonderful if we could find the time to meet. I don't
think it is necessary for us to have an " official " business meeting with the financial advisor. However, I would

Paragraph 4:

Part E: E-mail writing


Read a description of a situation and write an email addressing the issues described in the situation. You will
have 9 minutes. You must write at least 100 words. You will be able to see how much time is left and how many
words you have written. Write in complete sentences. If you do not finish in 9 minutes, everything you have
written will be saved automatically and the next item will begin.
