1. SCOPE
This procedure describes the control system of handling, packing and
transportation of materials for NPK-CHEMICAL PROJECT 500.000
MTPY.
2. GENERAL
This packing of the product shall be strong enough to withstand rough
handling and storage during shipment. Adequate treatment shall be
taken to protect against breakage, dampness, pilfering, tampering and
environmental damage or pollution during transportation, handling and
storage. As minimum, attention shall be taken as noted in the following
paragraph.
3. PREPARATION
1) Ensures the process of fabrication, testing and finishing have
already finished and all unit equipment are installed.
2) Ensures palette which used are correct.
3) Close all the nozzle using plywood.
4) Ensures sling or belt which used for handling are correct.
4. PROCEDURE
4.1 PREPACK
1. Immediately upon completion of inspection and tests, product
shall be thoroughly cleaned of scale, dirt and other foreign
material.
2. Liquid used for cleaning or hydrostatic shall be completely
drained before shipment.
3. Product shall be thoroughly dry when packed for shipment.
4.2 PACKING

2. Dimension wood/Steels on below saddle base plate of Product
is according strong enough with the product weight.
3. All part not bolted to the product and small, spare or loose parts
that are easily damaged or lost shall be remove from major
product shall be packed in separates boxes.
4. This packing design is used for handling by forklift /crane.
4.3 MARKING REQUIREMENT
Mark packages on top one side as following in head mark and erection code.
2. Marking tags for bundle structure material is made of metal and
clamped flat to is bundle.
3. Top of package must be indicated by marking package with arrow
pointing to the top.
4. Easily damaged or perishable goods must be identified with
appropriate symbol.
5. Place mark must be permanent stamped on to fabricated
section of structure and equipment to a depth of not less than 1
mm and stamp area painted with rust preventative paint to radial
distance on the surrounding area.
6. Place packing list inside each shipping package and shall be
include in the package, and covered by transparent plastic.

5. LOADING SQUENCE
1) Put the skid package unit at flat position.

2) Prepare two (2) sets of wood palette and put down the unit on the palette
with base rubber or spoon.
3) Sets the belt to hold the unit with palette, using covered sling and tighten
with turn buckle.
4) Bond the unit using sling/belt at four (4) position and lift using a unit crane hoist.
5) Take position the truck close by the unit which upraised, and move the
until -until move up over the truck.
6) Sets the belt to hold the unit with truck using belt/chain, and tighten the
belt at unit is connecting to lifting lug.
7) Wrap the unit using clean canvas.
6. INSPECTION & DOCUMENTATION
1) Delivery document shall be submitted to owner, accordance with owner
request.
2) Instruction for prepare delivery document, performance prepacking list
will be send to owner two days before delivery.
3) IRC (Inspection Release Certificate) shall be submitted to owner.
4) Ensures unit and palette on the truck is safe and already held with sling
and have been tightened.
5) Ensures belt at the unit be connected to lifting lug and already tightened.
6) Photograph during unit loading process on the truck.
