COURSE / SECTION: CWTS103 – A12
ACTIVITY TITLE: Week-2 Essay
REALIZATION, INSIGHT AND LEARNINGS
Choose one (1) SDG discussed in Week-2. Identify a particular problem on the SDG chosen. Share
your thoughts on how are you going to contribute to the solution of the problem you identified.
Student’s Answer:

SDG or the Sustainable Development Goals, are set of 17 goals in getting rid of the poverty,
hunger, and worst effect of the climate change. It is a plan in which we can achieve in 15 years
but is it possible? it could be if all of us are helping each other.

In week 2 discussion I choose a goal in which our country will benefit and that is the number 1
goal which is the No Poverty. Philippines had become one of the richest country way back the
presidential of Ferdinand Marcos but we cannot hide the fact that we still have many Filipinos
who suffer from poverty. These days, in a midst of pandemic our country is now suffer from a
huge poverty where a lot of Filipino families are unemployed, no business that they can earn,
cannot afford education due to financial situation etc. We had many presidents that has been
elect from years but still has no progress up to these days. The problem is the people itself and
the lack of attention of the higher people to the low, and this problem should resolve as soon as
possible to have a better future for the kids.

As a student, I believe that the Goal 1 in SDGs which is the No Poverty is very accurate in the
situation in the Philippines where it is possible if all the Filipinos will help each other. Indeed, that
according to the description of No Poverty, it is an ambitious goal but there is no impossible if
you believe that it will happen. My contribution as a student is to share my knowledge to
everyone regarding to the SDG because in that action, people will have an idea regarding to this
and to support or join every organization in getting rid of the poverty in the Philippines. It is a big
plan for all of us but with a great faith and trust, I know that it will come true.
