Proposal on the exchange program

Introduction

The principle aim of this proposal is to make suggestions for how to improve the student
exchange program as requested. It will also outline the possible benefits of these
suggestions for the students.

Current situation

Presently, the student exchange programs are having a paramount role in expanding the
horizons and bridging the gap between different countries. Therefore, a number of activities
are organized by our local school to welcome British students in our home country.

Recommendations

Clearly more could be done in order for students to fully benefit from their exchange. One
viable approach would be to organize a course at the beginning to provide the students with
ample knowledge about cultural differences they can encounter and as a result prepare
them for the cultural shock. Another similar suggestion would be to offer them some time to
socialize. More importantly, young people should meet with locals and attend classes with
their hosts. Not only should exchange students be shown the city’s main sights, but they also
should explore stunning nearby towns of historic value.

Benefits

By taking part in various social events young people would be able to experience the
Bulgarian way of living, traditions and cuisine and avoid loneliness and boredom. They could
also expand their knowledge, gain feasible experience and establish lifelong friendships.

Conclusion

All in all, I believe that if these suggestions are implemented, the exchange will be
advantageous for both sides and will exceed the student’s expectations.
