INTRODUCTION
SP shared about Pastor Rick Warren’s campaign for his church entitled “Decade of Destiny Campaign”
where the emphasis for the next decade is to live well for the Lord. Likewise for BBTC, it’s the
preparation for life and the Lord’s return for the Church. Its all about the person and purpose, his
spirit, soul and body, to be a strong believer with a strong marriage, family, relationships, finances,
etc.
Romans 5:17b - … much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness
will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.
What does it mean to reign in life?
To reign in life means to:
- be on top and not below
- be victorious
- overcome
- take dominion
- work through problems with His wisdom and favour
- be the head and not the tail
- rule
- rest in His all sufficient
- subdue
- grace even in your handicapped permanent situation on earth
- succeed
- be prosperous
How to Reign in Life
I. We reign in life through the Lord Jesus Christ
Romans 5:17b – “… much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of
righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ”.
Our confidence in life is only through Jesus Christ, not self, not your boss, not your god-father, not
your friend, family member or leader! We reign in life when our lives are centred on the Lord Jesus.
Ephesians 2:6 - “… and raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenly places in
Christ Jesus”.
1
Colossians 1:17 - And He is before all things and in Him all things consist.
1 Timothy 2:5 and 1 Corinthians 1:30 (Divine Exchange).
Our position has changed with the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus. We now reign with
Christ in the heavenlies, far above the devil and evil ones.
II. We reign in life with the Gift of Righteousness
2 Corinthians 5;21 - For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the
righteousness of God in Him, ie. We have Right Standing with God.
Examples of right standing with God:
Romans 5:1 - Peace with God
Romans 8:31 - If God is for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:33 - Who can bring any charge against us?
Romans 8:34 - Who is he that condemns?
Romans 8:35 - Who shall separate us from the love of God?
Romans 8:37 - More than conquerors!
III. As we develop the Spirit of Faith
2 Corinthians 4:13 - “And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I
believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak…”
Our lives must be built and lived completely on the Word of God. The will of God is the word of God.
The principle of believing and speaking the Word of God:
1. To believe, we must hear the Word of Faith, ie. Rhema.
Romans 10:17 - So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
2. To hear the Word of Faith (Rhema), we must regularly partake the Logos of the Word.
A. Partake because the Word is spiritual food for our spirit-man. The Word is mentioned
as - Milk in 1 Peter 2:2, Bread in Matthew 4:4 and Meat in Hebrews 5:14.
B. Partaking the Word of God in the hand diagram where the 5 fingers represent hear, read,
study, memorize and meditate.
C. We partake the Logos of the Word by:
Attending CG meeting

Devotional blogs

Audio CDs and DVDs
Listening to audio sermons

BBTC and other websites
D. We will not hear the Word of Faith, ie Rhema unless we are continually partaking the
Logos. We cannot merely feed on “crumbs” i.e. mere devotionals but rather on the “meat”
of the Word.
E. The Rhema comes at “Kairos” moments in our journey along the Chronos of life.
Kairos is defined as opportune moments. This comes as we posture ourselves to receive.
3. As we hear and partake of the Word, we must believe in our heart.
Romans 10:9-10 - That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your
heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes
unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Scriptures are of value to you only to the degree you believe in your heart.
4. As we believe, we must speak forth what we believe.
2 Corinthians 1:20 - For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the
glory of God through us.
Speaking forth the Word is a range of activities:
o Pray o Worship o Shout
o Thanksgiving o Proclaim o Praise
o Read o Sing o Whisper
o Spiritual songs o Mutter o Declare
Proverbs 18:21 - Death and life are in the power of the tongue and those who love it will eat
its fruit.
5. As we speak, we will receive the Promises of God.
Mark 11:23-24 - For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and
be cast into the sea’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that those things he says will
be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when
you pray, believe that you receive them and you will have them.
3
The mountain is any obstacle that prevents us from knowing God and receiving His promises
of salvation, healing, answered prayer, provision, power, etc. God wants us to speak to the
mountain to remove it in order to receive His promises.
6. It is important to note that what we believe and speak must be from the Word of God.
IV. We must intentionally appropriate the grace that we need.
Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves; it is
the gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast.
Romans 5:2 - Through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand and
rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
1. The Grace of God that we need includes:
o salvation o provision o revelation
o eternal life o mercy o forgiveness of
o protection o wisdom sins
o favour o solution to
o justice problems
o strength to o answer to
cope with life’s questions
pressures o healing
2. We must intentionally come to the Throne of Grace.
Hebrews 4:16 - Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy
and find grace to help in time of need.
It is the Throne of Grace and not the Throne of Judgment; the importance of confidence and
boldness to do so because the Blood of Christ and through Jesus our great High Priest.
3. We must find the grace that we need.
To find suggests that we know how to access.
The simple steps are:
A. All the grace that we need are in the heavenly realms.
Ephesians 1:3- Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us
with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.
B. We are on earth.
C. Our Prayer of Faith is our “heavenly ATM card” to access the grace.
4
D. We must know we have access to the grace.
Ignorance is not bliss.
V. To reign in life with Christ, we must daily believe and speak the Word:
we must hear the Word to believe
we must speak what we believe
we then receive what we speak
we receive first in the spirit realm which is then manifested in the physical realm.
Job 22:28 - You will also declare a thing and it will be established for you; so light will shine
on your ways.
Let us together believe and confess:
1. Health and Healing (Proverbs 3:8; 4:22)
2. I am very deeply loved by god (John 3:16)
3. I am completely forgiven in Christ (Hebrews 10:17 – My sins He remember no more).
4. I have the Righteousness of God (Romans 5:17; 2 Corinthians 5:21).
5. I have every spiritual blessing in Christ.
Every need in my life is already provided for:
I am always protected in Christ.
I have Divine Wisdom.
I have Divine Favour (Pslam 84:11; 5;12).
I reign in life through the Lord Jesus Christ.
Psalm 18:1-2; 91:1-2.
End.
