PAST SIMPLE or PAST CONTINUOUS II

1.- Make sentences with the information given. Use the Past Simple or the Past
Continuous.

- The police/arrive/while/I/have/breakfast.

- The storm/start/while/they/drive/home.

- I/see/an accident/while/I/wait/for the bus.

- Mary/go/to several concerts/while/she/stay/in London.

- My father/ cook/the dinner/when/he/burn/his fingers.

- The soldiers/prepare/to leave/ when/the bomb/explode.

2.- Fill in the gaps with the Past Simple or the Past Continuous of the verbs in
brackets.
