Erbay Aluminyum is manufacturing quality products in its high-tech production lines with high tech machineries, in its own 25,000 m2 indoor and 10.000m2 outdoor facilities with
dynamic, self-developing and professional 650+ expert staff ( 40+ architects & engineers ) , has completed important domestic and overseas projects all over the world.

The Company
Istanbul based Erbay Aluminium began in 1994 when Mr. Erdogan Karakus & Kemal Karakus & Erdal Karakus began their own company, Erbay Aluminium Insaat San. Tic. Ltd. As part of its
growth and altered focus, Erbay Aluminium has established a company in the UK. This will allow Erbay Aluminium greater access to big projects in the area to help its growth.

FACTORY & PRODUCTION
Erbay has 25 000 m2 covered manufacturing area and 10 000 m2 external stock and lay down area at the factory. There are more than 250 skilled workers controlled by 25
engineers and foramen. If necessary; the factory has facilities to do manufacturing as night shifts.
The factory was built 4 years ago and the machineries are very sophisticated and new. There are 12 CNC machinery with 3, 4 and 5 axis used for manufacture.

DESIGN & TECHNICAL OFFICE
Our designers and project engineers will design the
aluminium façade system together with the
employer’s design team by integrating the
aluminium system details into architectural
drawings. All structural calculations for aluminium
profiles, steel, glass and metal sheets are done
according to related norms and the performance
criteria defined by the employer. Under the worst
cases of dead and live loads on the system, the
internal force and displacement analysis are
performed to provide the system stability.
During the shop drawing stage; if we encounter a conflict of
architectural drawings, this will be reported to the employer
immediately for avoiding undesirable situations in the future.
New alternatives are determined by evaluation of the results
together with the employer.
The project design program is determined to comply with the
entire Construction work program. All shop drawings are
controlled by project engineers before submitting to the
employer. All submitted and approved drawings are used for
production and installation.

Aluminium facades are produced by using the materials combined with the correct tolerances
after QC process. Project department prepares the manufacturing details and drawings and
hand over to the manufacturing department.
There are two steps at manufacturing base; preparation and manufacturing as following
Preparation
• Controls the manufacturing drawings.
• Parses the manufacturing drawings based on manufacturing lines
• Programs the personnel and manufacturing period
• Provides coordination and program for all related materials regarding the
production.
• Provides reports concerning manufacturing.

Manufacturing
• Integration of thermal breakers and applying protection tapes.
• Cutting the profiles.
• Drilling, milling and drain operations at CNC machines.
• Fixing the coupling parts on the profiles
• Combines the profiles to create frames.
• Fixing the hardware and gaskets on the frames.
• Combines the frames in to finished products.
• Labeling the finished products for packing.

PACKING & DELIVERY
During the manufacturing progress ; master worker controls all process from cutting stage to packing
stage to ensure the quality needs of the products. Products and materials are demanded from delivery
department by placing material request form. Those materials and products are delivered by warehouse
staff and reduced from the stock

Floor distribution & storage
Again, pallets are identified to facilitate floor distribution & storage. Distribution to
installation area is completed using flatbed trolleys & portable mechanical “mini” hoist
designed to operate in tight spaces.

Standard installation crew = three (3) men on installation floor, one (1) man on the
upper
floor operating the hoist, and two (2) men one floor below positioning the panel
vertically
and applying silicone sealant at the transom joint.
