INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROJECT


PRESENTATION

I. PROJECT CONTENT LAYOUT

1. Introduction: the reason for choosing the topic, the purpose, the object
and scope of the research, the scientific and practical significance of the
topic; scientific basis for choosing topics...;
2. Overview: the existing research works of the author, other domestic and
foreign authors closely related to the topic; outstanding issues; the problems
that the topic needs to focus on researching and solving;
3. Experimental or theoretical studies: theoretical bases, theories, scientific
hypotheses and research methods that will be used in the Thesis;

4. Present, evaluate and discuss the results: briefly describe the scientific
research work carried out, the scientific research data or experimental data.
The discussion must be based on scientific data obtained during the
research of the topic or compared with the research results of other authors
through references;
5. Conclusion: briefly present the new results of the thesis without further
discussion and comments;
6. Recommendations for further studies (if any);
7. List of published works of the author: list the published articles and works
of the author related to the content of the topic (in chronological order of
publication);
8. List of references: only includes documents (monograms, references,
online documents, textbooks, documents of seminars, conferences,
articles...) that are cited, used, and mentioned for use in the Thesis;
9. Appendix (if any).

II. PROJECT PRESENTATION


1. Text editor
• Use Times New Roman (Unicode) font size 13 of Winword; normal letter
density; do not compress or stretch the space between letters; line spacing
set to 1.5 lines; top margin 3.5 cm; bottom margin 3cm; left margin 3.5 cm;
right margin 2cm. Page numbers are numbered in the middle, at the top of
each page.
• If there are tables, drawings presented horizontally, the top of the table is
the left margin of the page, but should limit the presentation in this way.
• Thesis/project/dissertation/dissertation is printed on one side of white
paper, A4 size (210 x 297mm).

2. Subsection
• The subsections of the thesis are presented and numbered and grouped
with numbers, at most 04 digits with the first number indicating the chapter
number (Example: 4.1.2.1 indicates subsection 1, subsection 2, item 1,
Chapter 04).
• At each sub-group of sub-sections, there must be at least 02 sub-sections,
if sub-section 2.1.1 have, sub-section 2.1.2 must have

2.3. Tables, figures, equations


• The numbering of tables, figures and equations must be associated with the
number of chapters (For example, figure 3.4 means the fourth figure in Chapter
3). All tables and graphs taken from other sources must be fully cited (eg
Source: Tr.35, Credit Magazine (2012), No. 15, Financial Publishing House,
HCMC). The source cited must be correctly listed in the Bibliography.
• Title of tables above tables; The title of the figure below the figure. Usually short
tables and graphs must be associated with the first mention of these tables and
graphs.

2.4. Abbreviation
• Do not abuse abbreviations. Only abbreviate words, phrases or terms that
are used more than once in the essay. Do not abbreviate long phrases,
clauses, or infrequent phrases.
• If it is necessary to abbreviate words, terms, names of agencies and
organizations, etc., they shall be abbreviated after the first writing with the
abbreviation in parentheses. If there are too many abbreviations, there
must be a list of abbreviations (in order A, B, C) at the beginning of the
thesis.

2.5. References
• All opinions, concepts, analyses, statements, expressions... not the
author's own and all other references must be cited and source indicated
in the list of references. The use of other suggestions or results must also
be clearly cited. If using documents of other people and co-authors
(tables, drawings, formulas, graphs, equations, ideas...) without citing the
author and the source, the thesis will not be accepted.
• Do not cite popular knowledge, everyone knows to avoid burdening the
citation reference section
• The citations are in the order of the document in the Bibliography and are
enclosed in square brackets, example [1]. For citations from different documents,
the number of each document is placed independently in square brackets, in
ascending order, for example [19], [25], [41], [42].

2.6. Appendix
• This section includes the necessary content to illustrate or support the
thesis content such as figures, forms, pictures. . . . if responses to a
questionnaire are used, this sample questionnaire must be included in the
Appendix in its original form used for the survey and poll; may not be
summarized or modified. The sample calculations presented in summary
in the forms should also be mentioned in the Appendix of the thesis. The
appendix should not be thicker than the main body of the thesis.

III. THE ENTIRE PROJECT


1. Main cover page: content written according to Form 1.
2. Sub-cover page: content written according to Form 2.
3. Acknowledgment page: write briefly, express your gratitude to those who have
helped you complete the Project. Form 3
4. Declaration page: content is recorded according to Form 4 (university training
level).
5. Abstract: briefly present the research problem, approaches, problem solving
and some achieved results, basic findings within 1-2 pages.
6. Table of Contents: give full chapter titles and sections of the
Thesis/Dissertation contents, starting from Preface to References.
7. List of symbols and abbreviations (if any).
8. List of tables, charts, figures and graphs (if any).
9. Contents of the Project: no more than … pages.
10. References.
11. Appendix (if any).

• IV. PROJECT COVER, CD RECORDING


1. Green simili cover + gold emulsion. • The back of the project book
contains the author's name, training year and graduation year.
2. The content of the project printed on the CD includes the following files:
a. File Readme: Introduction to the author, and the necessary instructions
when using the CD.
b. Word folder: contains .doc files of Thesis/Thesis.
c. Pdf folder: contains .pdf files of project.
d. Resource directory: references, software
e. Source folder: the results are programs, drawings .. implementation
f. The cover of the disc includes the following information: Vietnam General
Confederation of Labor - Ton Duc Thang University - Faculty - Subject title -
Department - author's name - Student ID - Instructor - graduation year
(Form 4) . All are presented in capital letters.
