Module 1 Paguio

This document contains a gallery walk activity describing key concepts in science and technology. It also includes a K-W-L chart about learning more about the topic, quotes about science and technology, and a collage activity showing how science and technology impact everyday life. The gallery walk lists examples of scientific concepts like matter, cells, and astronomy alongside technological areas like computers, artificial intelligence, and nanotechnology. The K-W-L chart outlines what the student already knows about the topic and wants to learn more about the advances and impacts of science and technology.

ACTIVITY 3: Sci-Tech Quotes and Reflect

““Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.”
― Carl Sagan
Naturally, our minds are described to be curious that why everyday there are new things to discover. Our minds never
stop thinking and pondering so in our everyday lives we encounter all sorts of problem that we thought, we can’t find
the solutions but because of the amazing job that our brains can do we are eager to find the answers. The scientific
process makes our lives easier, it provides an objective, standardized approach to conducting experiments and, in
doing so, improves their results. By using a standardized approach in their investigations, scientists can feel confident
that they will stick to the facts and limit the influence of personal, preconceived notions. Science has a huge impact in
all of us it helps with the understanding of the world around us. Everything we know about the universe, from how
trees reproduce to what an atom is made up of, is the result of scientific research and experiment. Human progress
throughout history has largely rested on advances in science. Science education is one of the most important subjects
in school due to its relevance to students’ lives and the universally applicable problem-solving and critical thinking
skills it uses and develops. These are lifelong skills that allow students to generate ideas, weigh decisions intelligently
and even understand the evidence behind public policy-making. Teaching technological literacy, critical thinking and
problem-solving through science education gives students the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in school and
beyond.
"Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire
world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution."
— Albert Einstein
Technology has its pro’s and con’s but there are a lot of flaws in the application of technology. In one side, it makes
everybody’s life easier, the workload of every human being are decreased because of the revolutionary inventions that
really makes a diffrence in our lives. But it also brings terror for some people take it as an advantage to develop
weapons that may bring harm to other people. Because of technology there are people being bullied online, there are
hackers stealing money from people who worked hard for it. Because of technology many have developed diseases
like blurring of vision, and etc. but the huge advantage of technology for me would be its contributions to the world of
medicine. Because the tcehnological advancements in medicine, are continously progressing and it helps a lot of
people from the transformation of diagnostic testings to the detection of tumors, obstructions and everything else
through the use of xrays, mris and ct scans. It is scary because the continous evolvement of technology means more
change and more pollution and who knows someday they might actually replace us humans.
ACTIVITY 4: Collage Making

The collage represents the things that are connected to both science and technology. How they can give an impact in
our everyday lives, science is a systematic body of knowledge therefore all of the things that we could see, we could
observe with our five senses can be explained by science and will eventually have an application with the use of
technology. Technology has evolved and revolutionized over the time, they can help more people now, it can help
catch criminals who are in hiding, but they ca also bring bad things in our lives. Still, today we are grateful for those
people who encouraged and embraced the idea of science and technology. We look at things differently and somehow
it makes this world a better place. With the use of the scientific method, we can immediately solve problems within
the society that we almost believed were impossible to be answered, with the application of technology we can turn
these answers into actual solutions. This pandemic is an actual product of technology being helpful and a burden for
some say this corona virus is manmade which makes the production of vaccine difficult but whatever the reason is,
science and technology will always find its way in helping the society become better.
