A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY TO APPROVE THE


CREATION OF BARANGAY YOUTH DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (BYDC) OF
SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN OF BARANGAY SALVACION, MONKAYO, DAVAO DE ORO

  WHEREAS, Article 2, Section 13 of the 1987 Philippine Constitution provides that


"the State recognizes the vital role of the youth in nation building and shall promote and
Protect their physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual, and social well-being.”

WHEREAS, to fulfill this State policy, a venue for youth representation in local government should be
provided. Providing them with an opportunity to participate in formulating policies and programs that
would benefit them is of anticipated feat.
WHEREAS, creating a Barangay Youth Development Council (BYDC) will fulfill the constitutional
mandate of encouraging participation of youth in all government as well as nongovernment programs,
projects, and activities, thus harnessing their full potential as active partners in nation-building.

WHEREAS, the BYDC shall be the partners of the Sanguniang Kabataan in formulation of policies and
responsible for the implementation of youth development programs, projects, and activities.

WHEREAS, after due deliberation of the 6th Regular Session of the Sangguniang Kabataan deemed it
wise to create the Barangay Youth Development Council (BYDC) of Barangay Salvacion, Monkayo,
Davao de Oro.

WHEREAS, the Barangay Youth Development Council (BYDC) is compose of Sangguniang Kabataan
Officials, Diocesan Youth Apostolate, Purok Youth Leaders, Indigenous People Organization, Philippine
Youth Association in the Philippines, School Principal and other religious group sectors and
organizations.

 NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Hon. Lhymie M. Polancos, duly seconded by all members present
be it;

RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, to create the Barangay Youth Development Council of the
Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Salvacion and be submitted to the Punong Barangay and
endorsement to the Sangguniang Barangay for approval;    

RESOLVED, FINALLY that copy of this resolution be furnished to the office concerned for their
information and appropriate action record.
