announcement coming from presidential spokesperson Harry Roque from April 1 Maundy Thursday
to April 4 Easter Sunday. Churches will be allowed to host physical masses up to 10% capacity but
Roque stresses that churches are only allowed one mass per day. visitors are also prohibited from
hearing mass outside of the church. The church welcomes IATF decision, it says that the ATF must
have realise that faith is vital also to survive in this crisis, it vows to strictly implement health
protocols to ensure the safety of the public.

News reporter 2: The provinces of Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna and Cavite have been placed under general
community quarantine status along with Metro Manila until April 4. In line with this the interagency
task force handling the governments pandemic response also approved new restrictions to slow
down the rise in COVID-19 cases. Under resolution one of four approved by the IATF only essential
travel into and out of Metro Manila and the four provinces are allowed, those authorised to go out
of their homes include; workers in the government and private sector, health and emergency
frontliners, persons travelling for medical or humanitarian reasons, persons going to the airport for
overseas travel and Filipinos returning from abroad. mass gatherings including large religious
activities are prohibited; weddings, baptism and Funeral services are allowed but attendance is
limited to 10 persons. Restaurants are limited to offering delivery and take out services. Outdoor
dining is allowed but only at 50% capacity. The private sector are encouraged to adopt alternative
working arrangements for employees And reduce their Operational or on site capacity to between
30 to 50% just like in the governments executive branch. A curfew from Dan BM25 am is enforced
for two weeks. Despite the restrictions presidential spokesperson Harry Roque clarifies there’s no
lockdown in Metro Manila and the four nearby provinces under GCQ that’s because most businesses
and public transportation are allowed to operate.
Local government units of the areas under GCQ are ordered to ensure compliance with health
