EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The project stresses on the work that I have done as a Digital Marketing Intern at Septanove
Technologies Private Limited- Nutkhat Organics. In this report, I have mainly incorporated
my experience in the company especially, in handling the social media platforms, various e-
commerce websites, taking follow ups from various departments of e-commerce websites,
campaign management, SEO on Amazon and Flipkart, Building and handling brand store,
etc. I have provides the details about my 3 month’s work experience in the company along
with the comprehensive job descriptions where I was also needed to build the customer
relationship along with the marketing and branding.

The project’s objective is to understand about the role of social media marketing and e-
commerce in the digital marketing as how it is helping the business to grow and flourish. The
project also describes about my objectives of the task that I performed during my Internship
period and what was the scope of doing it.

Later, I have also discussed about the detailed analysis of my job along with the execution
process and what were the outcomes and my learning from it. The Project’s also includes the
industry profile of the digital marketing, social media marketing, and e-commerce websites.

To build relationship with your customers has become far better now a day’s as the company
can easily communicate with their customers and can gain the feedback which helps them to
improve in their products and communication. The tie-up with various big e-commerce
platforms are also growing up as the customers can easily compare the brands and can take
the quick decisions so it has boost the company to tie-up with the big e-commerce giant to
gain more customers and increase their sales in this competitive edge.

The Nutkhat Organic should continue their process of tie-up with various e-commerce portals
as this will help them to grow more and more and should continue with more of the contest
on social media marketing because that helped the company a lot to gain more followers and
should now start with Google Ads because it is the nice platform to boost the sale and

Digital marketing is the process of building and maintaining the customer relationship
through online activities to facilitate the exchange of ideas, products and services that satisfy
the goals of both parties. It is done in order to reach large number of targeted audience, to
promote products and services and to create the brand awareness using different digital tools
and tactics.

As due to the increasing popularity of internet and the internet enabled devices, the
consumers is spending more time on digital platforms to research more about the products
and services and also about the company from where they want to make purchase. Thus, the
company are gradually moving towards having a digital presence to engage with the online
consumers to increase their branding which leads to the increase in their sales.

It is important for marketers to have an understanding of digital marketing strategies and


tactics as well familiarize themselves with the key technologies underlying them. The key
objective of Digital marketing is to market brands through various sorts of digital media.

In a layman’s term “Digital marketing is just using the traditional marketing, promotion of
use of services, your brand using electronic devices, social media and other technologies and
techniques that are available on the internet”.

Digital marketing provides the personal satisfaction to their targeted audience, provides
convenience, drives brand loyalty, helps in building brand, helps in reaching more customers,
boost sales.

1.1.1. Social Media Marketing (SMM)

The term social media marketing refers to the utilization of the social media platforms to
plug the company’s product and services, and to attach with the targeted audience to create
the branding of the company, increase sales, and to drive the web site traffics. SMM provides
companies the way to interact with existing customers and reach new ones while allowing
them to market their desired culture, mission, or tone.

SMM involves listening to your audience and engaging with your followers, publishing great
content on your social media profiles, analyzing your results, and run the campaigns on social
media platforms.

SMM helps a company to be closure to the audience and can easily get the direct feedback
from them about their products and services. The interactive parts of social media give
customers the chance to ask questions or voice complaints and feel they're being heard. This
aspect of SMM is named social customer relationship management. You might be gaining

post like what time your audience are active on social media platforms? Analyze the
reach of your post. Most importantly, craft your social media post very carefully.

 Engagement: It is the third pillar of SMM. At initial stage of your business you might
not have the large number of followers but when as an when your followers grow you
may find that they will start interacting with you through direct messages or by
commenting on your post. So, always listen to your audience by engaging with them
and solve their issues and queries as quick as possible to get the positive response.

 Analytics: It is fourth pillar of the SMM which is very important in any of the SMM
platforms or in online marketing. It helps the company to look after some reports
which help them to analyze whether the post has more reach then last month or not?
What is the total number of positive mention they get in last month? Is their increase
in the followers from the last month or not?

 Advertising: It is the last pillar of SMM. While using social media as your branding
and marketing platforms be ready to invest in social media ads to spread more
awareness about your brand which will help you in reaching more number of targeted
audience.

The term commerce refers back to the trading of products and/or offerings. E-commerce is a
modern-day invention that helps the trading of products and/or services through electronic

ORGANICS”. The brand is in nutrition and health food industry dealing in organic nuts,
seeds, dried fruits and snacks. They import their food products from all over the world which

It is the start-up company incorporated on 2nd January 2021. It started


as the online store with its own website and communicating with the
audience through social media platforms and is growing up with the

best E-commerce websites to tie up with where the brand can get recognize and can easily
boost up the sales.

Day-to-day operations: As an intern, I was responsible for some day to day tasks like-

commerce websites and take follow up for the same.

Query Management: Managing query of the different customers was one of the biggest role

Hashtags plays a very important role in Instagram marketing while posting any content on
Instagram. Each and every post should content hashtags to make the post reach to large
number of audience. Hashtags in the Instagram should be used according to the audience you
want to target. Use of wrong hashtags will not generate any reach and thus will decrease the
purpose of using Instagram Marketing and brand awareness and will not get the satisfactory
results.

hashtags to be used should not only have millions numbers of post it should also have the

for example- if 11 hashtags are used then 5 hashtags from them should be in millions, 4
hashtags from them should be in thousands and 2 should be in hundreds. This the trick of
using the hashtags for the post so as to reach the large number of audience.

After listing down all the hashtags, I used to post those hashtags along with the content and
need to take care while posting the hashtags that it matches the content and the post and also
the hashtags used are proper and helps in reaching the target audience.

and impression it has received, then also to check how many visitors have click on the link or
website, how many have visited the profile directly, has any visitor directed the page or
saved our post, it also let us to know how many people visited the profile due to the hashtags.

To track the insights is very important for every post because it let us to know that how much
interactive the post, the content or the hashtags are.The insights also, helps to know about the
audience like, from where your audience are coming, which age group is more targeted
towards your post, which time your targeted audience see your post that helps in posting the
post on that particular timings.

Hashtags plays a very important role in Facebook marketing while posting any content on

audience. Hashtags in the Facebook should be used according to the audience you want to
target. Use of wrong hashtags will not generate any reach and thus will decrease the purpose
of using Facebook Marketing and brand awareness and will not get the satisfactory results.

The hashtags used in Facebook are different from the hashtags used in the Instagram. If the
Instagram hashtags are used in the Facebook post it will not generate the proper amount of
reach which will affect the branding of the company.

hashtags from them should be in thousands and 2 should be in hundreds. This is the trick of

or saved our post, it also let us to know how many people visited the profile due to the

after than the products are visible to the customers on Amazon.

Task 35. Attaining the Training session from the Shupple Team

After the Shupple team have set up the brands store on Shupple it arranged the training
session to explain the functions of the Shupple and how the Shupple seller account works,
what things has to be done by the seller in their account.

The objective of the training session was provided by the Shupple Team was to handover the
store to brand and also to explain it functions and how to operate it. And also what kinds of
promotion can be done on Shupple and how does the promotion works on it.

My task was to attend the training session and understand everything about the Shupple like-
how does it works, how to add the products in future, how to change the product prices, etc.
Also, to understand about the various types of promotions that can be done on Shupple and
Understand the free ones provided by the Shupple.

The Nutkhat Organic is the start-up brand in the field of nutrition and health products. It has a
huge number of existing competitors who are well reputed and it’s a big task for the company
to create their brand name especially on the various e-commerce platforms where they have
collaborated because all the e-commerce platform had many well reputed competitors in the
field of health and nutrition products and especially in dry fruits.

I would like to suggest the company to use the various other tools of promotion in Digital
marketing like using of Google Ads, Google Workspace, Google Console, and adding SEO in
their website. Also, they should make their website more creative and add more blogs to their
websites related health and nutrition and also they should make some videos of their products
so that people gain a strong trust upon the product that they are 100% organic. As, this will
help the customers to compare the company’s product with the competitor products. Also,
they should add their brand story on their website because the brand story helps to connect
with the targeted audience easily and they get to know more about the company and it’s
product.

The company must also run some ads on their website so that the ranking of their website can
be improved. The company should hire some brand promoters who promotes such health and
nutrition products they should try at least once so that it can reach to more audience and
communities and can see the results if they are benefited from it or not. This will help them to
grow more and will increase the sale.
