MOTIVATION LETTER
I am writing on behalf of my application to study towards Masters in Transition Management at
JLU Gießen. My name is Rose C J and I currently live in India. I have a small family which
includes my father, mother and younger brother . My father works in PWD department and inspires
me to work hard for everything in life. I often look up to his motto “Pioneering is not easy,
Managing is”. My mother is a homemaker who controls everything from home while holding our
family together.
My academic life started at High School Andhikkad, Thrissur, in India (Affiliated to state syllabus)
which was one of the prominent schools in the state of Kerala. After having an eventful academic
life, I got enrolled into St. Antonys HSS ,Puthenpeedika School (Affiliated to state syllabus) to
complete my intermediate education. After completing my grade school, I was accepted into Calicut
University to start my graduation. The curriculum offered at the college was comprehensive and
helped me in strengthening my knowledge in management. I maintained a consistent academic
record by acquiring 85% in my 10th board, 80% in my higher secondary education and finished my
graduation degree with a German Grade of 3.
This year I found myself in the difficult transitional period between waiting to pursue postgraduate
studies and continuing my employment. Though I would have preferred to directly continue my
post graduation after my under graduation, I opted to gain some work experience. A couple of years
away from school, I reasoned, would offered me the time needed to recuperate from an exhaustive
under graduate education and gain some perspective. A break from school to work has given me
sufficient time to search and research for graduate programs that best that suite my needs.
JLU Gießen’s postgraduate program in Transition Management dominates largely in my mind,
especially because of its outstanding faculty and interdisciplinary approach to students. Besides
Masters in Transition Management , JLU Gießen will provide an ideal climate for me to develop my
cross disciplinary interests. I am applying for a place on the Transition Management Course at the
JLU Gießen , because I am very much interested in the modules covered particularly in Food
management and Agriculture management " . Now I would like to get an idea about the European
region and I believe this program suits me well.
Choosing Germany as a country to pursue my masters was one of the easiest decision I made
because the universities here are well known for quality education and have one of the most
accepted education systems in the world. After researching carefully to ascertain the best university
which provides a compendious program in the field of management ,I choose University of Gießen.
Without a doubt University of Gießen seemed to be more suitable and also affordable for me in
comparison to other universities. This course is very distinctive because of the modules covered and
I am confident that it would help me in enhancing my career options. I truly believe that it would be
beneficial to get both practical and theoretical exposure through this advanced practice course.
Understanding all this, I am sure that I have chosen an excellent University, which has a
magnificent campus and offers quality education along with providing a diverse experience.
Furthermore, the campus safety along various faculty staffs for guidance, makes it an indisputable
choice for me. Following the Transition Management Course, I would like to pursue the career as
an manager with government department or other government department or other public sector
body and I believe that this University has got the best medium to bring the best within me as an
manager to serve the organisation I may joining in future.
