CIT 217 Unix/Linux Administration
Within this class we will be working with Fedora for our Linux distribution. I lean more to
Debian/Ubuntu distros, so feel free to use that or both as well. This is for in-class learning and not tied
to class grade.
In the examples I will be posting in class I will be using Oracles Virtualbox to run the Linux distribution.
Feel free to use VMware Workstation/ESXI, Hyper-V, etc. I will provide the links at the bottom of this
document. Another option if you have a spare laptop/computer, or want to do a dual boot- is to install
on a physical workstation.
We will use this LAB VM, or Physical machine to learn how to install and operate Linux.
If you do not have access to a computer or cannot install any of these tools please let me know.
