participate in conversations. He likes to debate on a variety of topics and adds humour to

every possible thing and creates a very light environment for everyone around him. He is

not reluctant in sharing his opinion in front of anyone. There have been instances where

the entire group had a particular opinion and Raj had another opinion but he made sure

that his opinion gets considered if he is putting a rational point behind it. He is always up

for a conversation and tries to negate others' points in a satirical fashion.

conversation with others. He is open to learning new ideas and style of working. In a group

is not my priority otherwise I like that the things around me are well organised and clean.

S-often forget to put things back

that I need to be sincere when it comes to professional or or work related matters as the
stakes are higher in this case and I can't afford to be casual in this case

S- Are you able to handle Task Smoothly?

J- 4 yes I will handle smoothly to some extent but there are some tasks which are very
complex and require a lot of diligence and hence might result in a lot of rough rough
deadlines to follow which might result in not getting all things done in a very smooth
manner

S- Do you usually leave a mess in your room?

J- 3 depends on my mood but I usually like to keep my room organised and keep as little

above cleaning up the mess

which I am supposed to do in a limited time so that I am able to better plan and organise
different parts of my work to get things done but when it comes to other people for
teamwork there is some sort of interdependence and the work gets usually delayed when I
have to depend on others

11
S- Do you leave your belongings around?

J- 4 always even I forget sometimes. I usually forget where I kept my belongings I usually
forget where I kept my mobile phone on my toothbrush on my charger and results in a lot

J-1 no not at all if a word is given I will do it no matter how hard it is. so there is an example
I talked with my friend and she asked to meet you not share that particular thing that was
related to her private life and even if it is about professional life use to share things with
me we had a lot of common friends and I did not share that with anyone. Even though
other friends asked me about her I did not reveal any information as I had made promise
and this is the reason most of my friends trust me and treat me as a reliable person in their
life. sometimes I face situations where my face some personal loss in monetary terms or
in terms of time and effort but I make sure that I keep my promise.

government or fruits or grocery or stationary I I think about everything before purchasing
it. I make sure that I do justice to the vendor as well as to the money I am putting in it.

J- 3 depends on the task because if there are certain task which fall in a very unknown
territory for me I prefer to first understand and analyse the task in then start it

S-act without thinking?

J- 1 I don’t act without thinking unless the person is very close to me.

No points-Instance where you showed some responsibility or leadership skills

Responsibilities were taken many in my college when conducting feasts and also in the real
world I feel every person has some responsibility to fulfil. so in college where I was helping

Person taking the interview : Shreya Maheshwari

Person interviewed: Raj Agarwal

Personality trait: Extraversion

S- Do you like to keep yourself in background?

R- What I think is it depends upon the situation that if the discussion is going on the right
direction and if like I don't have the idea like you I am agreeing to the points that are the
spot and so I keep myself at background but when the points are you know like not
favourable according to me then I oppose it come forward and speak up and on this aspect

14
I would like to rate myself 3 that when it's needed and the at the front and when it's not
needed I am at the background.

S-Do you love large party

R-Like it depends if I don't have much work to do yaa I enjoy the large parties but like in the
next day we have lots of work to do so like I am worried about the work that I have to do
and you know that spoils The fun of the party for me so on this point I would treat myself 3
rating.

S-You generally tend to start conversation

R- On this scale like to write myself as 4 like most of the time and I need you know some
work then I start a conversation in a likeminded environment and converse with a similar
thinking people but like if a person is totally unknown to me I usually avoid.

S-Generally awkward around strangers?

R- Nope not generally when se say if people is totally stranger to me like we suddenly you
know whether someone unaware I don't know who is he and how will he react to my action
like if I go and speak to him and he did he gets angry as he doesn't want to talk to him then
in that case you know I keep quiet if I think that people is interested in talking then I go and
talk to that's it.

S-Can you keep conversation going on with anyone about anything? 4

R- You can say that because you know I love to talk on different topics and you know I will

Person taking the interview: Shreya Maheshwari

Person being interviewed : Piyush Rohilla

Personality Trait: Agreeableness

Shreya:

Hi! Hi, Piyush! How are you?

Piyush:

Yes, I'm fine. How about you?

Shreya:

17
I'm good. I'm good. I'm really good. So let us start with the interview now. So, I'll just put up
the first question directly then. In your own opinion, how do you define yourself? Define
yourself as a open and happy go lucky person, or do you define yourself as a more
reserved and conservative person?

Piyush:

Fun and happy go lucky person. Sometime I choose to be reserve. Actually it totally depend
on the person. I like to meet new people and talk about their life experiences. According to
me every person holds different personality. By knowing them it helps me to learn new
good or bad things that might be helpful for my future life too.

Shreya:

Okay. All right. All right. Okay. And how do you, how do you think, or can you just explain
with an example, if you are, if you are a sympathetic person, if you're an empathetic and
sympathetic.

Piyush:

Okay. I see myself as both empathetic and sympathetic person. I can give an example. I
have done my Bachelor’s from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. I used to travel 20km on bike. One day
while passing from the overbridge I saw a earthen pot seller trying to drag his Cart along
with two small children who were helping his father to cross the over-bridge. I stopped
their and went to help them. It was the afternoon time as usual the temperature was 47
degree. I helped them to cross the bridge and offer some water. After drinking some cold
water the two tiny were smiling like they have got some precious gift. So, I thought to offer
them some money. But, their father refuse to take money. On asking why, he told me the
golden words which changed my thoughts completely .He told me” No Sir, I can’t take this
money. I’m not a begger and never choose too. I only accept the money which I earn by
selling this pots in a respectful manner. I’m very thankful to helped for crossing the
bridge.” That day I understood money is not a thing for every person. Each person wants
the respect even if he is big business men or a pot seller. The hardwork he was putting to
earn the money with respect and making his children learn the golden life lessons.

Shreya:

I mean, that's, that's a really good thing that you just told. Yeah, thanks for that answer.
Can you just describe a situation like, where, what you wanted to convey wasn't necessarily
accepted by the others? Like your opinions differ from your teammates or maybe your

18
friends or your colleagues, or some of your batch mates’ opinions extremely. And then,
they were not agreeing to what you were saying and what, how did you feel in wanting to
do in that situation? How will you cope with this sort of situation? How do you tackle it?

Piyush:

Okay. I joined a group for the thesis work. The group five people were completely new to
me. We all were from different sections and got together because of the same topic
selection randomly We all meet first time and introduce each other . Two persons having
the field experience of 2 years. I was selected as a leader mutually. We discussed about the
topic in detail way and shared each other points. We have short duration to submit first
draft. We all were thinking differently no one was ready to adjust follow one way so that we
can start our first draft. I was facing the major issue as I was very good interactive with
each of them and no one was trying communicate with each other other than me. The two
experience hold members were more practical and other two are referring more to the
research work. In mid , I faced chaos as no one was to ready to finalize the final pathway.
So, I Decided to set up a meeting and divided a a plan that two persons will do research
work and we three will prepare a draft . Other two will look after the practical data
collection and do the editing work to finalize the draft. After going through this process we
completed and submitted the draft on time.

Shreya:

Okay. Okay. yeah. So another like on similar lines question, is that, are you usually
impressed by someone? Do you follow someone? Do appreciate someone like the better
things in someone, do you vocally or by your actions, show people that, you know, they
deserve that recognition, that credibility or something for or some words for what they're
doing. So do you usually do that in your team or in your friends, or maybe in your
colleagues as well?

Piyush:

Yes, I observe a person in many ways. I try to understand the thought process in all
possible ways. As I am never ashamed to apologize to the person if I had made a mistake.
I’m usually impressed by the person who are doing the great things in a simple way and
then also not even bragging about themselves. In the group assignment we used to do the
work equally but sometimes anyone makes a extra effort for the work. I appreciate him\her
and learn how he done something new. I welcome new ideas and discussion on them.

Shreya:

19
Okay. Okay. So, yeah. Alright. And how often are you impressed by someone and how do
you try to follow someone? Like usually, you know, everyone has some ideas, but not
necessarily like A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, but people around you basically, how often are you
impressed by our people around you and what do you do about that?

Piyush:

Yes, I am impressed with many of the people as I mentioned earlier that I like to talk to new
people. Honestly, I see my father as my role model. I have been handling and learning
Family business since I was 19 years old. I saw him doing struggle in many ways. He was
failing in the new ideas but never gave up. He made me learn life lessons in a very detail
way by observing people what they want from you, How you can manage to earn profit in
difficult ways. If you start something new how you can face challenges and come up with to
new idea to deal it with. So, I have passed all my childhood by learning business from my
father and I think I have learned a lot of theories and practical ways to make my future life
better.

Shreya:

All right. All right. Okay, another question, how do you rate yourself? This is the last
question. So how do you rate yourself compared to your peers? How do you think about
yourself as compared to your peers or your friends? Where do you keep yourself in terms
of, you're not just giving you, give yourself a rating basically, and justify it,

Piyush:

I can’t rate myself as I am not use to compare myself with any one else.

Prithviraj:

No relative, not absolute relative to your friends and your peers and everyone. Yeah.
Everyone, people around you, you interact with,

Piyush:

In what sense, because everything has a different scenario.

Prithviraj:

Just the general rating. How do you consider yourself as a person, as in comparison to
others around you? That sort of rating? Basically.

20
Piyush:

Okay, As per me every person holds different personality and beheaviour in general. Mine
is completely different from the others. No one is perfect to judge someone and rate them
so that I can compare myself with them would be injustice to my self-respect.

Shreya:

Okay. Thank you. Thank you, Piyush, for those wonderful answers and thank you for your
time. I'll end this meeting. Thanks a lot.
