Moral standards relate to distinguishing between good and bad human behavior based on principles of right and wrong, as well as ethical values. Non-moral standards refer to rules and judgments about what is good or bad in non-ethical ways, such as etiquette, fashion, or game rules. As a student, the author encountered dilemmas such as choosing a major that pursued their passions versus one that led to job opportunities. They had to weigh interests and analyze which course and college would be the best fit, considering factors like matching interests and minimizing financial burden. Before deciding, the author considered these aspects to make the choice easier and ensure their time and parents' money were used effectively.

MODULE 1
Lesson 3

ACTIVITY 1
What are the differences between moral and non-morals standards? Cite
examples by writing it down on the space provided for in each column.
- Moral standards are those concerned with or relating to human behavior,
especially the distinction between good and bad behavior. Moral standards
involves the rules people have about the kinds of actions they believe are
morally right and wrong. As well as the values they place on the kinds of
objects they believe morally good and morally bad. The Non-Morals
Standard refer to standards by which we judge what is good or bad and
right or wrong in a non-moral way.

Non-moral Standards
Moral Standards

 to treat others with respect  - rules of etiquette

 to be supportive or to tolerate cultural - fashion standards
and religious differences - rules in games
 Honesty: being truthful and sincere - various house rules
 Integrity: sticking to your moral
and ethical principles and values
 Perseverance: persisting in
a course of action, belief or purpose.
ACTIVITY 2

As a student, did you encounter some dilemmas in your school? What did
you do? Cite examples of this dilemmas encountered.
 Every day we are tested as individuals to make the right choice. How we
view ourselves as individuals and how others view us are directly correlated
to our moral decision-making. As a student, I also encountered dilemmas in
school. Way back During the first year of my college, there’s a whole lot of
new. We’re bombarded with questions surrounding new faces, a new
school, and a new routine. As I know, many freshmen hear a piece of
conventional wisdom, “Minor in what you love, but major in what gets you
a job.” College students stand at a pivotal crossroads in my lives, torn by
conflicting voices. In one ear, we hear encouraging whispers of pursuing
passions; in the other, we’re fed constant reminders of debt, expense, and
the pressure to provide. Before my freshmen years it’s hard for me to
choose what should I take. Clearly, there is a huge mismatch between what
I think and what the Course actually is. What did I do was Before I select a
discipline for myself and deploy the necessary resources towards it, it’s
crucial to weigh my interests and analyze which course and college would
be the best fit for me. Factoring in all these aspects can make decision-
making a lot easier and it can help me channelize my time & my parent’s
money in the best way possible.
