/r/nightattheopera is an open table RPG community that utilizes a living world where Delta Green Agents and

Operations take place in the same linear (or non-linear, non-Euclidean) timeline. This allows Agents to fully

4th Annual (2021) Night at the Opera Scenario Contest


This contest commemorates the fourth anniversary of the first game run on N@tO. Contestants chose themes
from a list and created scenarios around it.
Votes were limited to active members of N@tO, and submitters also grade other entries on a rubric.
Administered by Kevin Ham.

Entries are open from now until March 5th, 2021.

This contest provided Handlers with a variety of drop-in gameplay enhancements. It was administered by

2019 Summer Contest: Groups


This contest created cadres of NPC organizations for use and inspiration within Delta Green. Judging was
performed by fellow contest entrants. It was administered by Kevin Ham.

2019 Alphabet Contest


Contestants were randomly assigned a letter and were able to choose a word to structure a scenario around.
The contest was administered by Will Roy and featured the judgement of BurningHeron, MagnificentTophat,
and KarlNP.

2nd Place(tie): G for Gluttony by SeaTurtles and P for Pythogenic by Zomner

2019 MicroMedia Contest


Microfiction stories, audio recordings, short videos, all compose the subject matter of this contest. This means
fanfiction, “found footage” audio recordings, “leaked documents,” photographs, your own art, or whatever
small creative project you would like to share with others! The micromedia must take place in the Delta Green
universe(but doesn’t necessarily have to conform to “canon”).
Entries could not take more than 10 minutes to consume.
-People’s Choice: Fans vote on their favorite entry. Whatever you like the most.
Winner: The Seeker by Mellonbread
-Most Usable: Fans vote on the entry that they are most likely or most able to use in a game of Delta
Green RPG.
Winner: Reliava by Vorpos and Frahnk
-Chief’s Choice: That’s me, Jake. I pick my favorite entry.
Winner: Fishing Lessons by Agent_Obtuse

3rd Annual (2020) Night at the Opera Scenario Contest


This contest commemorated the third anniversary of the first game ran on N@tO. Contestants chose themes
from a list and created scenarios around it. Votes were limited to active members of N@tO. It was
administered by Kevin Ham.

2020 Summer Contest: NPCs


The intent of this contest is to provide Handlers with enemy and ally NPCs of all kinds with a special focus on
the theme of “Collaborators.” This contest is administered by Kevin Ham. It was open for entries from April
2020 until July 4th, 2020 with voting completed on July 7th, 2020. Voting was done by contest entrants only.

The Overall Winner and Top Unreliable Ally: Chantelle Barrow, Xenobiologist Gone Wrong by Agent
Obtuse
Top Reliable Ally: Lilly Dosik, Social Worker by mellonbread
Top Violent Enemy: Siobhan James, Brainwashed Killer by Thomas “BurningHeron” DiPaolo
Top Non-Violent Enemy: Eric Aldis, Conspiracy-Theorizing Congressman by Agent Obtuse

ZomnoCon 2020
Zomnocon ran from August 7th through August 16th in two stages: entrants had until the 9th to submit their
scenario’s first draft, followed by a one week period of playtesting and provision. There were four themes
picked by the host, Zomner. Everyone was a winner in this game jam style contest.

2020 Microfiction Contest


A modification of the previous year’s MicroMedia contest. Ran from September 29th through October 31st;
voting ending on November 16th.
People’s Choice Winner: Agent Fintcher with “Algorithmic Generation of Long Term Future via Hierarchical
Prediction”
Chief’s Choice Winner: magnificentophat with “Employee Assistance Program”

2021 Case Officer Jam


The Case Officer Jam ran from April 13th to April 26th. The parameters were simple, make a Case Officer for
any of the groups in the Delta Green universe. Everyone was a winner in this game jam style contest.
OTHER NON-N@TO, DELTA GREEN AFFILIATED CONTESTS
2020 Delta Green Shotgun Scenario Contest
While the DGML Shotgun Contest has been previously ran by Ed Possing and hosted on the Fairfield Project
wiki, circumstances this year led it to be ran by Kevin Ham and hosted as a Google Doc.
Submissions were open from December 7th, 2020 through December 31st, 2020
First place winner of the contest was Deep in the Bayou, by Karl Lloyd.
Second Place scenario was The (Un)Natural Man by Bargain Brand.
Third place scenario was A Night in the Museum by DemoDawg
