Problem 1 (15 POINTS)
A pressure buildup test was simulated for an oil well in a naturally fractured reservoir. Well and
reservoir data are summarized next. Determine the approximate end of wellbore storage, nature
of matrix and fracture interaction, beginning of the combined matrix and fracture semilog
straight line, duration of the transition period, slope of the semilog straight line, number of flow
regimes observed during the test and p1hr.
q = 425 STB/D
tp = 2,400 hours
rw = 0.39 ft
h= 12 ft
= 0.217
Bo = 1.161 rb/STB
o = 0.89 cp
cmt = 11.510- 6 psi-1

Problem 2 (25 POINTS)
An injection test was conducted in a water injection well in a mature waterflood project. Given
the following rock and fluid properties, estimate permeability and skin factor from the injection
test data.
q = 1000 STB/D; pi = 2402.90 psia; rw = 0.30 ft;
h= 80 ft; = 0.10; ct = 6 10-6 psi-1;

Problem 3 (20 POINTS)
An injection pulse test was conducted between two wells in an aquifer to confirm available well
logging and geological data. Pressure was recorded in an observation well 200 ft apart and
shown in the following table. Given the following information, estimate k and ct based on
interpretation of the 1st shut in pulse (2nd pulse).
B = 1 bbl/STB; h = 20 ft; q = 75 STB/day;
μ = 1 cp; rw = 0.3 ft.
