Specimen:
Endometrial and cervical polyp.

Clinical Note:
Irregular P/V bleeding.

Gross:
Specimen received in two containers in formalin:
Container A: Coded as 'Endometrium' consists of multiple, pale brown, irregular, tissue fragments collectively
measuring 1.4x1x0.3 cm. Entirely submitted in cassette A.

Container B: Coded as 'Cervical biopsy' consists of three, pale white, fragments collectively measuring
0.4x0.3x0.2 cm. Entirely submitted in single cassette.

Microscopic Features:
A; Sections examined reveal polypoidal fragments of endometrium lined by columnar cells. Stroma is fibrocellular
and shows cystically dilated gland and thick walled blood vessels. No evidence of malignancy.

B: Sections examined reveal fragments of fibrocollagenous tissue lined by hyperplastic stratified squamous
epithelium showing mild lymphoplasm cell infiltrate. No evidence of dysplasia or malignancy.

Conclusion:
A: Endometrial sampling:
- Benign Endometrial polyp.
- No evidence of malignancy.

B: Cervical tissue:
- Mild chronic non specific inflammation.
- No evidence of dysplasia or malignancy.
