INTRODUCTION
• National Institute of Fashion Technology
was set up in 1986 under the aegis of
the Ministry of Textile s, Government of
India. It has emerged as the premier
Institute of Design, Management and
Technology, developing professionals for
taking up leadership positions in fashion
business in the emerging global
scenario.
INFRASTRUCTURE
• NIFT has unique architectural aesthetics. It has
employed the elements of design such as the
basic shape in naming some part or buildings
of the campus like the spiral of the staircase
and oval for place near the library, in order to
keep students always bonded with design.
CONCEPT
 This complex is based on frame structure - circular module has been followed up..
 a Golden spiral is a logarithmic spiral whose growth factor is φ, the golden ratio.
That is, a golden spiral gets wider (or further from its origin) by a factor of φ for every
quarter turn it makes.

COURSE OFFERED
• Textile design forms the core of the whole business of fashion. Textile
design is the process of creating designs and structures for knitted, 
woven, non-woven or embellishments of fabrics. Textile design is a
process from the raw material into finished product.
• The fashion communication program encompasses areas such as
visual merchandising, exhibition and display, graphic design, fashion
journalism, styling, photography, advertising and public relations,
specific to the fashion and lifestyle industry.
• Accessory design course is basically deals with the designing of
decorative items that supplement one's outfit.
• Fashion design is the art of the application of design and aesthetics
 or adding the essence of natural beauty to clothing.
• Knitting is a method by which thread or yarn is used to create a

area from girls hostel but still design fails to protect the privacy of girls hostel
because of the only play area provided in the front.
