INTRODUCTION
Let's get straight down to business, shall we?
I believe you picked up this book for this obvious reason: your Goal is to become
a Successful Entrepreneur.
And like everyone else just stepping in the business arena, you find yourself facing
this problem: “where do I begin, exactly?”
With this book, I will show you a solution that has catapulted me from "NO clue
where to start with this Entrepreneurship thing" to "I'M LIVING THE DREAM and I am
Unstoppable!".
I know exactly how you feel as I’ve been where you are right now. I understand that
you have so much ambitions, goals, and dreams and you know Entrepreneurship is the
best way to achieve them. But the thing, you just can’t seem to go anywhere.
So I know why you’re feeling stuck, and I know a way how to you could get out of
that trap. I will show you how I started through this book. Not only will I show you, but
within 12 days, I will walk you through.
You see, I have been struggling and failing in Entrepreneurship for almost a
decade. Imagine, 10 years! That is a long time of stumbling around before I even came to
this point where I know exactly what to do next.
Now that I have solved that problem for myself, I want to share my breakthrough
with you.
Most people would think that the biggest problem aspiring Entrepreneurs face is
the lack of money to invest. But experience and years of studying the life of Successful
Entrepreneurs taught me that it’s actually the lack of Preparation.
JUST LIKE CLIMBING A 29,002 ft. MOUNTAIN
Imagine yourself that right now, at this very moment, you are standing at the foot
of Mt. Everest. You took a step forward. You feel good, you are one step closer to the peak.
Then you took another, and another, and another.
At your current level of capacity, how far up do you think you can manage before
you're too exhausted to take another step? Chances are, you won't even get that far. So
before you make the climb, ask yourself: what do I need to reach the top?
Well, first you need funding, then you need the right gear and other necessities like
food and water, the proper skills and training, guides, porters if you can't carry your load
on your own, and most importantly you need to be Physically, Emotionally, and Mentally
Fit.
Out of all these things, what item could you influence right here, right now?
This book is a compilation of daily action plans and mini-goals that will prompt
you to start building better habits (or break down toxic ones) with the intention of giving
yourself a forward momentum towards developing specific traits, habits, and skills that
successful entrepreneurs possess.
I didn't include in-depth explanations for each specific topic but focused more on
getting you to take daily actions that will produce immediate results.
Although I have to be honest, you wouldn't be able to master any of these habits
and skillsets in just 12 days but you can consider this experience as a jump-starter for your
Entrepreneurial Journey.
Each chapter is about 5-10 minute read and ends with an exercise or a challenge.
At the end of the day, I and your fellow Zenithiers –as I call those who took this 12-day
Action Plan –will be waiting for you at our Facebook Community to celebrate your daily
success or to offer our support to you whenever you need it, that is if you decide to share
your experience with us.
The same is true with this book. I am sharing this because it was something that
worked out for me and to the people I had shared it with. Now it's your turn. As you read,
consider every idea and assess its value according to your standards. If you find them
highly beneficial to you, then take them in and apply them to your life.
Sure, most ideas you will find here are not entirely new but apparently, not
everyone who wishes to become Successful Entrepreneurs are doing it, or else everyone
would have been successful by now.
So just read, take the activities seriously, and this is the only thing that I can
promise you:
“Keep these tiny habits and techniques to heart and commit do doing them even
after you have finished the book and I guarantee you, you will be unstoppable.”
Whatever lead you to decide to take the path of Entrepreneurship, I am glad that
you considered this book as part of your "Transformation Plan".
WORKING INSIDE-OUT
For the next 12 days, what can you work out within yourself that will increase
your chances of Succeeding?
How to get the most out of this book:
1. You will need a notebook that will serve as your Journal and Workbook.
2. You need a pen, obviously.
3. Read only one chapter a day.
4. Do every activity at the end of each chapter.
5. Share your accomplishments and thoughts with us by clicking here or you can just
search for Project Zenithier Group in Facebook.
So that's it.
You can proceed to the first chapter immediately or you can start bright and early
tomorrow. Either way, see you on the inside.

BASE CAMP: Point Zero
For the first 5 days, we would be talking about some habits that successful people share.
These habits are very common and simple but keeping them is not as easy as it seems.
This is common knowledge but not everyone does it. I thought it was silly and plain
cheesy, you know, just like diaries where you write your deepest and darkest secrets or
where you doodle your first love’s name all the time (or maybe not, but high-five to those
who do, I’m with you).
Anyways....
Now go get a notebook, set your timer for 10 minutes and start writing.
#Tip: don’t focus too much on what are you going to write, just write. Think
about your day and write down how you are feeling, what you are thinking. Get yourself
in a flow state and allow the words to flow out naturally.
To help you out, here are some guiding questions to start with:
They are mindful of their actions and they do things with intention. That’s where a
journal comes in handy. Taking note of your thoughts and feelings will give you the chance
to assess how your behavior affects your overall productivity. It also encourages you to
develop self-mastery and discipline.
By putting your thoughts into writing, you allow yourself to engage in a process
that will help you become both creative and analytical. These traits – having balanced
creativity and analytical mind – would definitely be an essential tool to help you become
a successful Entrepreneur.
When you write, you are stimulating both the left and the right brain. This brain
exercise is a good thing for every wannabe Entrepreneur because you will be able to
balance and enhance your logical-analytical thinking (left brain) and your creative-artistic
nature (right brain). That’s how you avoid becoming an Analytically Paralyzed
Entrepreneur or the Starving Artist!
To add to the list, here are a few more benefits you can get with journaling:
It evokes mindfulness.
It sharpens your Emotional Intelligence.
Improve Communication Skills.
Healing. Journaling can be a channel to relieve stress and anxiety
It boosts your Self-Confidence.
Be serious about keeping it and after 3 months you will notice a profound change
in your life, that is a guarantee. Make a commitment. Right here, right now, that for the
next 3 months you will spend at least 5 minutes every day writing on your journal.
Care to share?
One of my intentions for writing this book is to really get you to take action. That
is why I have designed another activity that makes this whole experience fun and exciting.
I called it the Progress Reporting Exercise.
This is just a simple activity where you share your progress with us in the FB group.
The idea is to share your experiences with the whole community on a consistent
basis. You can share daily updates, twice in a day if you're feeling really hyped-up, or if
you're a bit shy, you can do weekly. In your report, you can do a simple status, a photo
post, a collage, a live video, upload a short video compilation of your daily activities and
accomplishments — it's really up to you.
Reports can be about your expectations, your failures, your success, your struggles
with each activity, and your mini celebrations.
All you need to do is be creative, be inspiring, and just be yourself. It's a really great
way for developing your self-confidence and a fun way to monitor your personal
development too.
Don’t hesitate to ever reach out with the group because we would always be happy
to cheer you up and support you through this journey. You are not alone. Many other
Zenithiers will be taking this quest with you that is why I built an FB group — to serve as
an online support system – where you can share your experience and receive a helping
hand to pull you through.
Getting Started
In this Journaling Challenge, which will officially start tomorrow, you can start
your progress report by creating a short status on the Zenithier Community about your
daily journaling experience.
Next, you can move on to a weekly basis. When you hit the first month, celebrate
with us. Then from that point, you can move on to a monthly report schedule. And in the
3rd-month mark, you can plan a more dramatic celebration if you want. Again, it’s all up
to you. I admit today’s challenge is a bit intense.
And there's more to come in the following days. So tie your shoelaces firmly and
be ready.
As you continue reading this book, you will find that each chapter has a goal and a
challenge. I would like to ask you to rewrite these goals in your journal every day. And as
you accomplish them, write down your results underneath like a short reflection of your
experience.
That’s all for today. See you tomorrow and take care.
#Day1Complete
Day 2: The Magical Mornings
And yes, it did get worst – at least for Luigi. Since he woke up feeling groggy and
in a real hurry, he felt tired the whole day. Because he was tired, he couldn’t function at
his best, which greatly affected the quality of his output.
To top it all, he began feeling irritable throughout the day. He believes he is a victim
of unfortunate circumstances. He thinks its bad luck, something out of his control and
there’s nothing he can do about it.
On the other hand, Mario breezed through the whole day. He was sharp and
vibrant. He was always ready whatever tasks were thrown at him. He has a better grip on
his emotions, thus set-backs and rejections doesn’t seem to affect him. And most of all,
he was happy. He feels productive and effective all day.
Does this two scenario sound familiar? I believe you had experienced both at some
point in your life.
There are days that you wake up on the wrong side of the bed. Your mood is all
grumpy, and from there, everything comes spiraling down for the whole day. It’s like
waking up in a bad disaster movie and the ending is much worse than the way it started.
At other times, you start out great. Waking up with a pleasant vibe, feeling
refreshed and energized. Like Mario, you breezed through your day and negative things
seem to affect you less than when you wake up all moody like Luigi.
And of course, there are also the in-between days which you wake up in a zombie
mode. These days, you wake up not necessarily happy or sad, just neutral. You don’t
drudge or breeze through the day, more like doing things on Autopilot. You are there but
not really. You’re not entirely unproductive but not very productive either.
Now, take a minute or two to ask yourself, “for the past month, which character do
you usually find yourself in every morning: Mario, Luigi, or the Zombie?”
Not waking up in a rush reduces stress and tension. It gives you more time to relax
and make important decisions before you officially start your day. Also if you notice,
Successful Entrepreneurs always give credit to their positive morning habits as a daily
productivity booster.
Just because a specific set of morning activities worked miracle for someone,
doesn’t mean it would be as effective for you. Some do yoga, others love cardio. Some
spend 5 minutes in meditation, others take as long as 30 minutes to prep themselves for
higher productivity and effectiveness for the entire day.
Each of us has different needs and personalities that is why it is better for you to
create your own rituals rather than just copying what others do.
For today's exercise, I will give you a three-point formula to craft your morning
routine right now:
Having the right amount of sleep directly affects your waking up. Make sure that
you are well rested the night before so you could jumpstart your day tomorrow.
Before you went to bed tonight, consider doing the following:
Plan your day ahead of time by simply listing down a maximum of 3 major
goals for tomorrow. As you write these goals, think about this, “if I could do
just one thing tomorrow, what would be that one thing that will move me
closer to my goals?”. Repeat this question 3 times.
Visualize yourself waking up bright and fresh.
Turning your phone off. (Keep a clock instead of using your phone as an
alarm)
Dr. Brandon Peters, MD, a Neurologist and the acclaimed author of “Sleep
Through Insomnia”, wrote that waking up very early everyday does not necessarily
boost your level of productivity.
“This isn't about making yourself an early bird if you start out as a night
owl. Though society may pressure you into believing that waking earlier is
somehow better—more moral, reflective of a hard-working nature, etc.—what
evidence is there for this? Plenty of successful people stay up until 2 a.m. and sleep
in until 10 a.m., so don't fall into that trap. Consider your own body and your
own needs. Pick a wake-up time that you can maintain and don't let it be too early
or inconsistent with your typical, natural pattern in the recent past.”
See, the early bird does not necessarily catch all the worms so you’ll be fine.
Choose a specific activity that will put you in a positive mood. Spend at least
15 minutes for it. It can be meditation, exercise, reading a book, practice gratitude,
etc., as long as you feel comfortable doing it in the morning after you wake up. And
that’s it.
Go ahead, grab your Journal, and craft your very own Morning Routine
right now.
“What is ideal for one person might not work for another, but the one thing
that sets many successful people apart is that they use that time to take control of
their day, rather than letting the day control them...” – Anisa Purbasari Horton
Now you shall execute…
Great work! You now have a brand new plan and it’s ready for execution.
But, here’s the bad news: attempting to apply these habits all at once may only lead
to failure.
You see, your brain is really protective of you and it rejects anything that may cause
you harm, uncomfortable feelings, and pressure. Now, most people would go ahead and
push themselves to keep new plan with these new habits all at the same. This approach is
actually counter-productive.
The first day may feel awesome. The second day, still awesome. Third, they may
start slacking down thinking, “to heck with it, it’s just one day. I’ll do better tomorrow”.
Tomorrow comes and they feel lazy again as excuses comes rushing in. Then the pressure
to continue builds up. Self-beating follows. The routine just feels too much. Until they
finally quit the routine because the new sets of habits feel very hard to keep since it feels
too much work.
What you can do is this: Focus on becoming consistent, one habit at a time.
In this case, I would like to suggest that instead of trying to pressure and beat
yourself up to keep the entire plan every day, start only with step-2: waking up at the same
time every day.
This technique will give you a higher success rate because by focusing on one habit
at a time, you allow your body to adjust to the change without forcing it.
You think you can do this? I bet you could. To make this experience much more
interesting, do this: everyday, immediately after you wake up, take a selfie. Make sure that
you enable the Timestamp setting on your camera beforehand. It is either a “timestamp”
or “watermark” depending on the model of your phone. If you can’t find it, don’t worry.
You can download a timestamp camera app on Google Playstore for this activity.
That stamps will prove as your proof that indeed you woke up at the same time
every morning for 7 days. And on the 8th day, make a collage out of it. And don’t forget to
share it with us on the Group with the hashtag:
#WinningMyDayEveryday
Please do me a favor…
I would like to ask you that read the next chapter right after you wake up tomorrow
morning. See you!
Bonus trick: Habit Triggering The idea is to train your brain to recognize triggers that will
prompt you to launch another habit. The trigger can be an object, an alarm, or another habit.
For example, putting your journal on your nightstand or beside your phone every night before
you sleep is a great trigger. Seeing your Journal the next morning will immediately remind you
of your Journaling goal. If you master this triggering technique, stacking habits will become a
piece of cake.
Day 3: Eliminating the Time-wasters
#BrightAndEarlyDay4
There’s this quote that really helped me when it comes to managing my activities
and I want to share it with you:
“You don’t want it bad enough if you can’t make sacrifices.”
Time and time again I would read this quote to remind me how badly I wanted to
achieve my goals. This helps me to focus and prioritize the right things that I know will
result in the realization of my dreams in the near future.
This time, go through your activity log once more. With every activity, ask yourself
“if this is this only thing I can do today, will it give me the result that I wanted tomorrow”?
If your answer is 100% yes, then that activity should stick on the list. If your answer
is 50/50 or downright no, then you might want to consider reducing it to a bare minimum
or exchange it with another activity that will bring you one step closer to your goals.
How many hours did you free up today? Did you manage to succeed in today’s
challenge? Okay, I know your sleepy now so good night. See you tomorrow.
#WastesHaveBeenEliminated
Day 4: Time to Read
I think you know now that every chapter in this book will always end with a
challenge or an activity. Are you ready for another one? For most people, the idea of
reading an entire book is somewhat daunting. And to finish it in less than a week, a pretty
big task.
The usual excuse for this is “I don’t really have the time to read books”. Well,
actually you do. So to help you out with this challenge, I’d like to share my “one book a
week” formula for you.
Number of Pages ÷Number of days = Number of pages you need to read daily
So let’s say for example you have a book that is 300 pages long (which is the
number of pages for an average book) and you wanted to finish it in 6 days.
Notice the types of words you used and how you might have said them.
Would I be wrong if I think most of them are negative? Well, what could you
possibly say in such an infuriating situation?
See the underlined word in bold? Just one word but it set the tone of the whole
experience. How about we change it: Well, what could you possibly say in such an
unpleasant situation?
Did changing “infuriating” to “unpleasant” downgrade the severity of the
situation? Absolutely. You just went from extremely angry to mildly uncomfortable. Let’s
take it one step down: Well, what could you possibly say in such an annoying situation?
Yeah, you're irked that your white shirt is ruined but it’s not enough for you to
badmouth the person who bumped you. Let’s go one step further: Well, what could you
possibly say in such an unfortunate situation?
Now you acknowledged that it was an accident. How could you be so angry when
it’s nobody’s fault, maybe it was your own fault. After all, you weren’t watching where you
are going.
That’s the power of words. We feel what we say, we say what we feel. And in most
cases, what we say is negative and we are not even aware of how it affects us.
“When we recognize the negative thoughts and words, we need to stop them and
counter them with alternative messages that are positive and optimistic, based on truth,
not fear.” Walter E. Jacobson, M.D.
For today’s experiment:
Write a simple narrative of your day ahead and what events are you expecting to
happen. What possible verbal exchanges would happen and with whom you will be
speaking to today or tomorrow? What are would be your habitual response to every
situation?
This experiment will reveal if you will have a positive experience or not. So be
genuine with your narrative just like you did in our short exercise a while ago.
Sample narrative:
Every morning, I will wake up to the sound of my alarm. But like most days, I feel lazy,
when the alarm sounds, I tend to hit the snooze button. “five minutes more” is my mantra. I just
don’t know how many times do I say that before finally wake-up.
I would roam around my room like a zombie – feeling groggy and tired and desperately
seeking the warmth of my comforter – but I had to make a living so I need to get to work.
On my way to work, like a typical day, I’ll be stuck in traffic for some time. This is the part
where I’ll be ranting my heart out for all the bad things that happen to the world. “Why can’t the
government add more funding to road widening projects so all the cars would fit in this damn
lanes?”, as I feel irritated and edgy. That’s my usual line of thought.
At work, I’ll meet Eddie, a person that really irritates me. Usually, he would come up to
my desk to just talk random things which I hate because first I really don’t care about what he is
talking about, second, he is just disturbing me, and third, his yellow teeth are annoying. I would
respond by giving out very unpleasant remarks like “go f*ck yourself Eddie, I’m busy”.
Try your best to be very descriptive. Describe your feelings and write each word
that you usually use. Write as many scenarios as you can.
That’s so much better, isn’t it? After rewriting your script, read it aloud. It will help
condition your mind and adapt to your new and improved vocabulary. Real-life
application
Tip: Whenever you catch yourself about to say negative words – out of habit or
even when you are having your internal dialogue – stop yourself. Bite your tongue as a
buffer. Then start using your script. If you want, you can have your journal handy so
anytime you need your new scripts, there are easily available for you to read.
Another tip: This is where the habit triggering technique would come in
handy. When you become aware of the “N-words” you can use them as triggers to
remind yourself to change them into better terms so you would have better, calmer, and
reasonable reactions.
I believe you are now aware of the most overused negative words you use out of
habit. So for today’s activity, I’d like you to make a declaration video.
Yep, you are going to declare that from now on you are going to bring more
positivity in your life starting with replacing one negative word at a time.
You can go all dramatic if you want. I had one friend who did it in a very symbolic
way. She filmed herself writing all those negative words in flashcards, went outside and
started burning them one-by-one. Others had been more creative and reflective.
You don’t have to make the video if you are not comfortable. But if you do, I can
almost assure you that you would feel empowered.
There is a reason why declarations are very helpful when it comes to breaking bad
habits. By telling someone – if not the whole world – about your decision to change, you
are sending a clear signal to your brain that you are serious about it. And since people
know about your intention, you will then subconsciously be making yourself accountable,
making the change more lasting.
Say NO to N-words
This change is small but this would change your life for the better. Negativity is
like cancer, it spreads. Stop it now before it takes over your life completely.
Bring in the Positivity. See you in the group?
#BringInThePositivity
How much value did you get so far? Please let me know here.
Five Passes Trek: CAMP 1
Have you ever tried Googling how many businesses fail and die without even
getting past the start-up stage? Out of a hundred, only 70% make it through the first year.
Well, that’s not so bad, right? Until you learn that after 5 more years, out of that
100, only 50% will make it through, others would be long buried in the sand. Okay, that’s
a bit depressing.
Let me continue, out of that 100, only 25% will make it through for 15 years. The
success rate becomes staggeringly low as the year progresses. Why is that? I believe it has
something to do with self-awareness.
Most people start out without really knowing what to do. Once I asked my direct
upline the same question, “where do I begin, exactly?” He answered me with one word:
KNOWLEDGE. And he is right. We need to start with basic knowledge. Knowledge about
ourselves.
“Before you even begin to think about wealth-building strategies, you must first
cultivate a high level of self-awareness. Because here’s the thing… You can have a
bulletproof wealth-building strategy. But if you are not the right type of person for
that specific strategy… It will never work.”
-Andrew Ferebee; High-Performance Coach, Speaker, and Author
This here is proof that what had worked for others may not work for you. You have
to understand that you are a completely different person with a different set of strengths
and skills you can hone to best serve you. You have your own nature.
For example, one person may enjoy one-on-one selling and that’s how they
achieved their success. You –a massive introvert (and you have no idea that you are) are
determined to have the same results that he had –went to learn his business model.
So you go and listen as he revealed his secrets on how he earned his first million.
Following all his advice, his techniques and strategies, even using his marketing
templates, you set out feeling pumped up and excited saying, “this is it! finally, I’m going
to bring my dreams into reality.”
Then, wow congratulations, you failed! And you wonder why it feels so hard for
you to attain the same success that he did. Funny, I’ve been in the same boat for about a
decade and that same sentence feels very personal as I have uttered it dozens of times –
usually at the beginning of every business opportunity that I tried and failed, obviously.
And I bet some of you are snickering at yourself for having said the same pathetic line
once upon a time.
Here’s the thing though, what difference would have happened if you are aware
that you are an introvert? Think about it for a moment. Would you still have followed that
person? For all you know he was an extrovert and is a skilled sales representative with a
couple of years of training under his belt.
If you had known you were an introvert, you might have grabbed the same
opportunity but approached it in a different way.
One of the best example was Mike Dillard, author of "Magnetic Sponsoring". Mike
started with his network marketing business using the company's Bulletproof, and highly
proven system in building wealth. He's all set except for a tiny detail: the system was
created by extroverts and highlights extrovert strengths. He's failed and failed at first
because he is like trying to wear a shoe that is not his size — it just wouldn't fit. But when
he started developing high levels of self- awareness, that's when his business exploded.
Magnetic Sponsoring was born.
“Your business will depend on you as an Entrepreneur…”
what’s the word? That’s right, ON YOU.
It is crucial that before you go out and get crazy building your business empire, you
must take time to learn “who you are” first.
Anyways, forgive me if today’s introduction is really long. I’m just extremely
passionate about the idea that success comes from self-awareness. I have to share it so I
could help you as I know how frustrating it is to be hustling and grinding but still not
getting anywhere. I know how painful it is to be watching others achieve greatness and
you are left behind –with no idea why you can’t seem to grow.
I was once in the dark too, seeking a way out, devouring every self-help books I
could get my hands on, learning every training videos I saw on YouTube hoping to find
that secret formula to success. And I still struggled. But one day, it all clicked. Just like a
fog had lifted before my eyes, I can now clearly see where I am going and what I needed
to do. All because I started seeking inside me for answers.
Self-awareness.
The best thing you can do to prepare yourself for Entrepreneurship is
to practice self-awareness.
Now that we are on our 6th day in this Zenithier Journey, our activities would now
focus more and more on self-awareness, focus, and clarity.
For day 6, let’s start with a serious question: Why do you want to become an
Entrepreneur?
Let me rephrase it: what made you decide that you wanted to become an
Entrepreneur? Take a moment to write it down in your journal before continuing...
Usually, when I ask people this question they would answer me: I wanted to earn
passive income so I can finally quit my job and relax, sipping margaritas on the beach,
without having to worry about being broke ever again.
Some people would say: To have time freedom so I can travel the world, do the
things I love, eat whatever I want, live the lifestyle that I dreamed of.
Others would tell me: To live a luxurious life, own the latest gadgets, live in a
mansion with a pool, drive a Mercedes and own a sports car, oh and I want Fame.
Where did people get this idea?
How about you, where did you get the idea?
Perhaps you saw it on TV, well this is how the rich people live, right? Maybe you
were scrolling on your newsfeed and saw a picture of a young man stepping out of a
luxurious jet plane wearing shades and expensive clothes.
The picture has a very interesting caption that says, “20-year-old Multi-Millionaire
Entrepreneur Shares his Secrets to Success”. He is a freaking millionaire, at the age of
20, who wouldn’t want to know his secret? Then you click the link to find out what the
secret is.
Who could blame you for wanting the same finer things in life? Nobody. Even I am
guilty of that. Everybody wants to feel good and have the chance to experience even the
smallest luxury money can buy. And most of us think that Entrepreneurship is the answer.
And it is, but 90% of all these aspiring Entrepreneurs don’t make it.
Why is that?
The answer is simple and sad: People are only focused on the rewards they can get
by becoming an “Entrepreneur” but they forgot about the obstacles along the way. All
these flashing images of luxury and fame are very inviting, luring everyone to take the
plunge, head first and eyes closed. Once they are in the game they would realize that they
are just not cut out for it (at least that is what they believe) and eventually they quit.
It’s hard, it’s not as easy as they thought it would be, and the pressure breaks them.
Such a mindset about Entrepreneurship is debilitating.
In my humble opinion, Entrepreneurship is not about money and fame, not even
superiority or survival. Instead, it is Freedom from all of those things. Achieving Freedom
by adding more value to other people’s lives, by giving more not by accumulating riches
and luxury.
Now ask yourself again, “Why do I want to become an Entrepreneur?”
Why do you need to have a “WHY”? It has been established that Entrepreneurship
is a very long and hard process and if you want to really succeed in it, you need a strong
constant drive to push you forward no matter what. You need a reason to get up every
morning even when you don’t feel like leaving your comfortable bed, an internal
motivation to keep you moving even when the going gets tough. You need to feel a sense
of purpose, a burning desire to persevere and put yourself into action.
That is why it is important for you to learn to clearly define and articulate your
WHY to make your goal ACTIONABLE.
In order to do that, you’ve got to sift through to the ideas that sparked your interest
in Entrepreneurship in the first place. Is your interest in the subject merely based on
partial knowledge and your own personal biases or is it based on its true nature and your
inveterate WHY?
Take out your Journal once again and review what you’ve written.
Are these reasons enough to keep you moving forward in the long run? If not, then
it is not strong enough. Next, you have to do is to dig a little deeper and answer these
questions:
Where do you feel that you have the greatest value?
What things make you come alive?
What are the things that you love doing even when you are not paid to do it? Why
do you do it?
Why do you wake up in the morning?
Why do you do what you do?
What makes your heart sing?
These are just guiding questions you can use to evaluate your feelings. Remember
this, finding your WHY is a process. So don’t worry if you can’t define it immediately.
As a challenge for you, every day for the next 2 weeks, make a habit of sitting down
with your journal and writing down an answer to this question: Why do you want to
become a successful entrepreneur?
You may have a different answer every day but the goal is to prompt your mind to
develop Clarity. Assess your answers, find the End Goal, and extract the emotions it
provokes. Then put words on it. Focus on how the idea makes you feel. By repeating the
process from time to time, you will find yourself with a much clearer WHY statement at
the end of each exercise.
Tell me Why…
I hope today your reasons for becoming an entrepreneur has never been clearer.
Having this clear motivation will keep you grounded and strong no matter what.
This is all for today.
Tomorrow we will dig a little deeper on the Self-awareness topic.
#IKnowMyWHY
Day 7: The art of STOPPING
Stop!!!
Just stop.
Stop being so reactive. Stop being so emotional. Stop it, seriously.
Every time I remember the first few years of my “Great Entrepreneurial Journey”,
I would laugh because it was much more dramatic than my love life. Really. I was always
depressed and easily frustrated.
There was so much crying and I feel so hopeless. Looking back, It’s incredible to
suddenly realize that my biggest obstacle was: myself. It took a lot of courage to confront
myself about my issues because I wanted to deny that after all those failing and misery, I
was actually the one causing it.
Just like the saying goes, “how will you face your problem if your problem is your
face”. So ironic and somewhat pathetic. But I did it. So I asked me, “self, why are you so
dramatic and emotionally unstable?”.
And then, something hit me right in the face; I don’t really know me. I never felt so
foreign of my own self. Did you ever felt the same way?
I was unaware of why I behave the way I do. I know that if I want to succeed in my
chosen career, I had to suck it up and learn how to control my emotions (or they will keep
controlling me).
“Successful Entrepreneurs are masters of their emotions.”
Most of us don’t really know how to deal with this issue within ourselves but the
answer is quite simple. It just goes right back to self-awareness. So stop being unaware.
Be present and be conscious.
Let’s do a little experiment which I call “Stop, Look, and Listen”, a 3-step
technique to developing self-awareness.
Today we will only focus on STOP. Ready? Okay, let’s roll… oh right, let’s STOP.
The best way to disrupt your reactive nature is by increasing your Reaction time.
Reaction time: the gap between the time you receive the stimuli and the time it will take
for you to deliver your response.
The increased reaction time will act as a buffer for the stimuli and will give you
enough time to breathe and consider the best way to respond. This skill seems so simple
but it has been proven to have such a profound impact on people who practice it.
I’ll give you some benefits:
o It gives you time to analyze the scene before actually reacting.
o You avoid makings impulsive decisions which we all know often leads to
disaster. It will make you better in keeping your Finances.
o It also helps you develop better time management skills.
o And so much more…
The Challenge: STOP - 10-second rule.
Let me warn you, expect your brain to wage an internal war just when you enter the
bathroom. Please, do share your experience with us in the Group, I’d love to hear what
you brain has to say as you try to freeze your butt off –and I’m really curious what your
pep talk would be so you could win.
Reverse Challenge: Instead of timing yourself if you can reach 3 minutes under the ice-cold
water, you can reverse the challenge and use a stopwatch instead to know exactly how long you
stayed under it. To start the watch, allow for 5 seconds so you can prepare, then shower. When
you’re done, don’t forget to wipe your hands before stopping the watch (especially if you are
using your phone).
#StopInTheNameOfEntrepreneurship
Hi!
Before we begin, I would like you to look at your journal. Just sift through the
pages. Look at that, you’ve come a long way and those entries you wrote are proof of your
accomplishments. You are growing. You are changing bit by bit. And that every day you
are going one step closer to your goal.
Congratulations!
You know the drill with STOP. The next thing that you want to practice is LOOK.
After you stop, look for the signs. As you stop, observe your thoughts, “what action will
this thought produce?”, “how will the action affect my goals?”, “does the action align with
my values?”, “do they empower me or do they hold me back?”.
That’s it. Looks simple but I promise you it is not easy. So don’t get frustrated if it
feels hard to be aware of your thoughts all the time. Remember that self-awareness is a
skill. And like any other skill, it takes time, effort, and constant repetition to master it.
Keep up with your STOP tallying but this time try to add side notes about your
habitual thoughts. By doing so, you can catch these thoughts before they even transpire
into action. Very helpful, if you ask me, especially when you can stop yourself from doing
something stupid.
Here’s another thing you can do: not being able to say your complaint out loud will
not stop you from thinking and brooding about it. So, I will give you an idea to release
those negativity: WRITE IT on your journal.
When you are about to voice your complaints, bite your tongue, turn around, grab
your journal and start writing. If you are feeling more creative, then draw it. If you are not
good at drawing, don’t worry, stickman would do.
That’s a wrap for today… Good luck with your assignment and see you on the group
later.
#CrapDetoxification
Day 9: LISTEN
I have to admit; this is one of the hardest chapters for me to write. Listening wasn’t
really my strong suit back in the days.
I can still remember the time when my best friend told me “I don’t want to tell you
what they’re saying about you because I know you’ll be hurt”. We were in 3rd year back
then and we just entered the classroom for our last period class that morning. “What?
Who's ‘they’? I don’t understand”, I said. She looked down and I pressed on, “what are
you talking about? Can you please just explain?”.
She straightened a bit then looked squarely at me, “some of our classmates asked
me ‘how can you stand being around her for so long?’, but don’t worry they can’t change
my mind about you. You are a good person. I see something in you that they can’t because
they didn’t take the time to know you”. She just looked at me and didn’t explain any
further. The hurt didn’t sink in immediately since I was more concerned about ‘whose
they’; and when it did, it came at full force.
“How can you stand being around…me?”, I repeated in my head. Am I that awful?
What did I do wrong? Did I offend them? And here I thought I was doing great with
making friends. It did hurt; I started retreating and isolating myself more and more every
day.
That was also when I began seeing the signs. The subtle way they excuse
themselves whenever I’m around, the way they form a tight nit around their cliques which
I then realized I could never be a part of (I tried) or the way they would talk to me one
second then completely ignore me as their other friends come. I also started hearing the
talks, “who does she thinks she is” for example.
And this is what happens when you don’t listen. You become oblivious to how other
people respond to your actions.
No, I’m not saying that you should be obsessed with how other people see you.
What I’m saying is that, use this observation as a tool so you can understand yourself
better and in turn develop self-awareness, discipline, and gain higher self-esteem.
Later on, I found out why: they think I am arrogant and self-absorbed. But I didn’t
think I was. Maybe I came out too strong especially when I feel very passionate about
something like group presentations and projects. I wanted everyone to share the same
passion as I do, I wanted excellence, and they view it as arrogance. I would also try to give
advice to them from time to time and they would feel I was trying to be superior. “Couldn’t
they see I was trying to help them. Why can’t they appreciate that”, I would tell myself. I
knew I wasn’t really good at expressing my thoughts that is why I was always
misunderstood.
But this experience became a gold mine for me.
It taught me the importance of listening to self-awareness. To this day, I am still
harnessing this skill but I can now see positive outcomes. I have more friends now and
these friends say they genuinely enjoy my company. Also, it taught me to develop
Empathy –a crucial skill you need to master to succeed in Entrepreneurship.
I’m pretty sure you these 3 words are very familiar to you, ring a bell? As children,
this is how we were taught on street crossing precautions. With the techniques you’ve
learned, you can now employ these words to help you master self-awareness.
Take at least 20 minutes today to just sit down and observe some people around
you. As you go to lunch today or dinner or whenever you schedule this 20-minute, try
sitting alone in the far corner of the room and observe everyone. If you spot someone that
intrigued you, focus on him or her for a while and try to create a story based on the
person’s body language and the people around them. It’s kind of like watching a movie
without audio and you are tasked to rewrite the script and the storyline basing only on the
scene before you.
Write your own story interpretation in your journal. What do you think is the
attitude of each actor depending on your observation? Try to create a character
description.
The best place to do this is in a crowded place: a restaurant, coffee shop, the park,
food court in the local mall, or the canteen. If you can’t leave the house then try observing
your housemates; your mom and dad, your siblings, grandma, or anyone. Don’t stare too
long though, you don’t want them thinking you’re someone creepy or if it’s your mom who
catches you staring, she might think you’ve gotten possessed or something.
Why don’t you tell the story you came up with the group?
#Iamlistening
Day 10: Face your Fears
The Entrepreneurial world is a scary place. Things go wrong all the time and most
of which are beyond anyone’s control. One day you hit jackpot; the next day you might
suddenly crash. Competition is brutal, Failure is inevitable. There is never a 100%
guarantee that whatever you invest will return. Fear is constant even for the brightest and
wealthiest businessman in the whole world.
If you wanted to survive out here, you need to learn to face and manage your Fears.
Yes, manage it because it is never really possible to completely eliminate it.
For Entrepreneurs, courage doesn’t mean you don’t fear anything, it is actually
acknowledging your fear and keep moving forward anyway. So here’s what you have to
know, (if you don’t know it already).
Fear is a natural human response to anything that our brain perceives a threat.
Things that may potentially hurt us or make us uncomfortable are also considered a
threat. Entrepreneurship falls in this category because it equals with uncertainty, change,
responsibility, and rejection; hence, threat.
Yep, we hate the unknown; it gives us anxiety. Change threatens familiarity; it may
take away our comfort. Responsibility, boy do we subconsciously loathe it; it makes us
feel guilty. But most of all, we hate Rejection; it makes us feel unworthy. These are just 4
of the biggest fears each entrepreneur has to overcome to get to thrive.
What do we do now? Identify them and face them, head-on.
They are the first things that will hold you back from achieving your dreams.
You can’t fight something that you cannot see. The same is true with fear. How will
you face it if you don’t know what you are afraid of? Today, that is what you will do. Take
your journal out and, for 10 minutes, start listing down things about Entrepreneurship
that scares you.
The first thing you can do is exploring your excuses, negative thoughts, and beliefs
towards Entrepreneurship.
Don’t worry, I’ll help you out. For starters, why do you always say “I don’t have
time” when a friend invites you to attend a Business Opportunity Meeting? If you haven’t
been invited even once, just imagine the scenario. What excuses would you be using to
avoid going?
Now Imagine, Visualize, Feel the emotions and let them flow. Then write. Keep
writing. Let all your reasons out. Justify why you wouldn’t have time for it. Next scenario:
let’s say that, after all your excuses, you still ended up going with your friend to the said
BOM.
Despite your previous unwillingness to come, you listened intently to the
presentation. Turns out that the opportunity is actually really amazing. You caught the
vision and you loved it. You were so excited, you started daydreaming about possibilities.
Then the speaker turned and asked you, “are you willing to invest $100 today to get
started?” You reached inside your pocket, got your wallet and found a lone $100 bill neatly
folded. The only money that you have. Would you invest it right away?
Write down what you think. All of it.
Write down your reservations, whatever predictions you might have as to what will
happen if you invest in that opportunity. Be honest with yourself. Don’t write what
somebody would want you to do, instead write what you will do and why.
I’ve learned this Fear-Busting Strategy from reading “No Excuses” written by the
world-famous self-development author and coach, Brian Tracy. In his book, he outlined
four steps on how to write a Disaster Report.
First, you need to clearly define the “Worry” Situation.
This time, go through your highlighted notes and pick one. Then ask yourself this,
“what exactly are you worried about _____?”
Second, what do you think are the worst possible things that could happen if
this “worry” situation will actually take place.
List down everything you can think of.
Ex. I fear that if I joined a networking business especially with this “x” company, I’ll lose
my investment because I have heard so many rumors that this is a scam.
The worst possible that will happen if I join is:
I will lose x amount of money
I will be humiliated in front of my family and friends.
When I will be humiliated, I don’t think I could approach them ever again.
What if I will have another business, they won’t trust me anymore.
I will also feel like the biggest losers having said all my goals and visions to them but in
the end, maybe nothing would happen to me and to my team.
Third. Now that you have a clear vision of what is the worst possible thing
that can happen to you, it’s time to resolve this outcome, should it actually
happen.
When you acknowledge that these feelings of trepidation may genuinely occur,
your anxiety and stress will slowly disappear.
You have to understand that there are things that you can’t control –just like how
you can’t control how other people will react to you. Don’t focus on those things. You can’t
do anything about them. Instead, focus on yourself and your own response. This,
definitely, you can control.
For the Fourth and Final step: Improve the worst by improving your
response. How will you do it? Create a counter-approach plan.
This is the power of self-awareness. Once you become aware of the things that you
can and can’t do, you can immediately prepare for the worst to soften the impact on you.
Going back to our earlier exercise, based on the example step 2, your worst fear is the fear
of being judged by your failure.
Ask yourself, “what can you do to approach this scenario? How will you react?
What things can you do to the inevitable pain this will cause you? Of course, you’d be hurt
but then again you know that if you want to succeed, you can’t let that pain cripple you.
So what will your game plan look like?
Will you have a plan B if, even though you did all your best, you still failed? Or
maybe you are more creative and you’ll find a way to prevent that worst situation to
happen? You know what they say, “prevention is better than cure”, so why not.
What really happens when you get rejected over and over again?
Three things: one, it will keep you from ever trying again; two you become immune
to it; three you will come to understand that it is not really “you” they are rejecting but the
idea that you are offering.
So in this challenge, we will go for the 2nd and 3rd outcomes. Repeat the process
until you become so used to it, it would no longer hurt and until you realize that when
they say “no” they don’t say no to you but “NO” to the idea of giving you a 10% discount.
I know that this is a bit daunting, but trust me, once you got over your Fear of Rejection,
you will become an unstoppable Entrepreneur.

Did you enjoy the challenges for the past 10 days? Leave me a review here. Thanks!
Core Valley: Camp 2
You are now approaching the base of the mountain you will have
to climb to achieve your success.
These last two days is intended to help you develop CLARITY and FOCUS.
Being clear with your Values and your Vision is a fundamental element to your success.
Let's go!
Day 11: Pinpoint your Values
We all have times where we feel lost and don’t know what decisions to make. From
simple choices like what to wear for an interview, or to grander ones like if you should
marry young or wait a little bit longer; our values will be our internal guide to making the
best choices for ourselves.
What happens if you are not clear about your values? Then you are likely to make
decisions that make you unhappy and greatly unsatisfied.
For instance, if a man values his family but has to work 10-12 hours a day, wouldn’t
that make him stressful and irritated all the time? If you value creativity and yet you are
in a place where it is prohibited, wouldn’t you feel trapped and rebellious?
You have your own values even when you don’t recognize them. They are your
internal GPS. And since you are mostly unaware that you have these amazing set of
attributes to guide you to happiness, you end up doing things that do not align with them,
with who you are. Then you feel lost and something just is not right.
Define Value
Adriana Girdler, productivity specialist and president of My Visual Vision, defined
the term as “the description of your character and how you behave. They hold strong no
matter what especially in times of stress and temptations.”
As an aspiring Entrepreneur, having clearly defined values is a key factor in
building a successful business.
Why is it important?
It will determine what’s really important and meaningful to you. It reveals who you
are. Consider your values as a filter. You will use this to funnel all your decisions to help
you decide whether to say yes or no, which direction to turn, what ideas to accept, and
how you will spend your resources like time, energy, and money.
The Goal: begin the quest of defining your
personal values
At this point, you will be discovering how I identified my own core values.
Here is a step-by-step visualization exercise for you to follow: What is your
definition of Success?
Now, let’s Bridge the gap between your vision and your reality.
First, Focus on the feelings a little longer. Try to find the right words to describe it.
Now shift your focus to your current life. Where are you? Who are you with? What do you
feel?
The first time I did that visualization was January 2019. I was a domestic
helper. The salary is good enough, my employers are okay, I can handle the work,
but what I can’t stand is the idea that I have a boss. I feel limited. Not necessarily
trapped but I feel stagnant. Backtracking, I tried to remember my turning point.
What decisions did I make that led me to this? Where did I base my decisions? Am
I happy with the choices I made? Do I have regrets?
Your turn. Ask yourself the same questions. Try to assess how far are you from your
vision.
Now it’s time to connect the dots.
Here is a list of values. Go through them and picked out the ones that best describe
your success vision. Next, basing on your current situation, what values do you think are
you sacrificing?
List at least 10 values. Then narrow down your list into 3 values by filling in the
blank to this sentence: Nothing is more important to me than ________________.
Don’t choose the values that you think you wanted to have, instead try to really
look inside yourself for the values that you really possess. Then narrow down your list to
the one that resonates with you the most. Compare each one and decide which is more
important to you.
Don't worry if you still feel a little unsure. Just like everything else, it takes time to
clearly articulate your values. I did this visualization exercise at least a dozen times until
I finally found the exact words that resonate with who I am: Growth, Passion, and
Inspiration. And these are the top three. These are what I feel every time I stand on that
mountain top in my success vision. These are the reason why I always felt trapped. I was
unhappy because I feel like I wasn’t growing. I sacrificed my passion when I took that
Domestic Helper job.
Go ahead and take the time to reflect on yourself.

A simple letter from me to you
To my dearest Zenithier,
I would like to express my deepest appreciation to you. Since you are still here
reading this letter, I guess it’s safe to say that you found this book very helpful.
Before I bring you to the last chapter, I would like to thank you for taking this
journey with me and the rest of the Zenithier Community. I will forever treasure the
stories that you shared with me through the group as they serve as an inspiration
for me to strive harder.
Not only that, please know that you are a hero in your own simple way as
your stories and testimonies will live eternally with the Zenithiers. Maybe you didn’t
know it but you have been giving a part of yourself to all of us with each video and
status, inspiring and motivating others especially those who are yet to start their
own Zenithier Journey.
You just don’t know whose life are you going to change with that one picture
of you waking up at the same time every morning, how many will you inspire with
the story of your success vision, who will you prompt to take action by sharing your
personal cold shower experience, and getting up the courage to ask for a 10%
discount for your Starbucks coffee.
Such little actions but they have a profound impact not only to your life but
to the rest of us. Thank you for being generous, and thank you for being you.
So today, I urge you, challenge you to keep dreaming, keep growing, and keep
the Zenithier fire alive in your heart. And together, we will create waves of
inspiration and light one dampened spirit at a time. That is my Vision. Now it’s time
for you to paint yours.
Sincerely yours,
J.M. Bernaldez
Day 12: The Vision
We all have our own visions of success but why is it that not every one of us gets
to live theirs?
The answer is quite simple actually: most visions are blurry!
Think of Vision as a Jigsaw Puzzle. Imagine a jigsaw puzzle with a thousand
pieces lay scrambled in front of you. Your goal is to put the pieces together to create the
portrait. To do this, you need a guide, so you took the box to see the guiding photo of
what this puzzle would look like after fitting every piece together. You flip the box up, no
guide photo. You flipped it down, still no photo. You peered inside, still no photo. You
ripped it off, still no photo.
What do you do next? How long do you think will you be able to put the puzzle
together without that guide? Now, most people would give up at this point.
The puzzle is your dream life, your Success. The guiding photo is your vision. And
without a vision, this is all I would say: Good luck putting your dream life together.
Last January, our team celebrated the success of one of our upline/mentor for
making it into the Millionaire’s Club. We had a front-row seat of how she achieved that
success. We’ve seen her struggles and all the sleepless nights she spent mastering her
craft. She is very driven, focused, and disciplined. But the one thing that really enabled
her to accomplish her goals is that she has a very clear picture of what success is for her.
The next thing you need to have is CLARITY.
What is it that you really want to achieve?
Let’s go back to the vision of success you visualized yesterday. For a minute, try to relieve
the moment once more but this add more details like how did you achieve it, in what
industry are you in, etc.
Close your eyes now.
How clear is your vision? Right at this very moment, do you have any idea how you could
make it happen?
If not yet, then let’s solve that problem.
“The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it
yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you
find it.” —Steve Jobs
Hooray!!!!
I remember mentioning in the beginning of this book that I am the reigning queen
of Entrepreneurial Failures, right? About a decade of stumbling and falling, succeeding
then failing, went to depression and got out of it, I think I'd like to change my life. So I
decided to dust myself off once more and start all over again.
And I am starting from Zero. And with that I would also like to encourage you to
embark on your own journey, and do it alongside with me. We could be each other's
support system.
I knew from experience that Entrepreneurship is hard, scary, and overwhelming
especially when you are doing it alone. And you don't have to be alone.
I have so much more in store for you guys! I am currently writing the sequel of this
book because I want to bring you further, one step at a time. Don't forget to email me so
I would know where to send your free copy of this next book.
Yes, I will give the next book for free. So watch out for the book launching
announcement on your email and how you could grab your copy.
That's not all. I am cooking a new adventure that we could share together! If you
loved this book, you will love this upcoming challenge even more.
I'll be posting announcement in our Zenithier Community so make sure that you
turn on notifications from the group.
