Let’s have an activity entitled “Where should I be?”

-Ma’am the digestive system is the one that process the
food and nutrients that we take every day.

-For me ma’am, digestive system is the one that process
the digestion.

The human digestive system is consists primarily of
the digestive tract, or the series of the structures and
organs through which food and liquids pass during
their processing into forms of absorbable into the
blood streams.

Let’s now go to parts and deepen the functions of
how it really works in our body.
PARTS OF THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM
1. Esophagus
5. receives food from your mouth when you
swallow.
2. Stomach
6. "container," that holds food while it is being
mixed with enzymes that continue the process of
breaking down food into a usable form

7. breaks down food using enzymes released by the
pancreas and bile from the liver
4. Gallbladder
8. stores and concentrates bile, and then releases it
into the duodenum to help absorb and digest fats

9. responsible for processing waste so that
emptying the bowels is easy and convenient.
6. Rectum
10. to receive stool from the colon, to let the person
know that there is stool to be evacuated, and to
hold the stool until evacuation happens
7. Anus
11. last part of the digestive tract
12. surrounded by sphincter muscles that are
important in allowing control of stool
For you to easily understand and remember the
parts of the digestive system, let’s sing a song.

After the interaction of giving the laboratory activity the

an important role in our daily life.
