STAINLESS STEEL CROCKERY BANK

Plastic pollution is increasingly becoming one of the most hazardous environmental issues. A lot has been said and done to curb
its worrisome rise globally. With the parallel outbreak of social media, this concern has received widespread attention and has
helped to raise awareness among citizens and netizens.

Amidst the outrage directed towards authorities to take strong steps, one of such responsible citizens, Sameera Satija, shines as
a path-breaking example in the fight against plastic pollution. Ms. Satija and her team, with their relentless efforts and selfless
approach, have shown that change starts with oneself. As with most cities in North India, Gurgaon, the place where Ms. Satija
lives, faced significant issues with plastic pollution. To counter this pollution hazard, she began 'Crockery Bank for Everyone', a
not for profit initiative that encourages people to rent stainless steel crockery for varied events like party, marriage, langar etc.
More importantly, it's free for all!

Her aim, since the inception of Crockery Bank, was to inspire others to replicate this idea. She wanted each part of the city to
have its own solitary bank. And so, Ms Satija helped RWAs, organisations, voluntary groups etc. to establish similar stainless steel
crockery banks locally. With time, aware citizens reached out to her and connected from all over the country.

Today, the Crockery Bank For Everyone isn't only confined to Gurgaon. Ms. Satija's hard work continues to reap rewards as
similar banks are being established increasingly in various other cities of India.

She undertook this initiative to help people to understand the dangers of using plastic and embrace this environment-friendly
alternative. Despite being an office-going professional, Ms. Satija's commitment to make her city a better place to live is an
inspiration to all. Here is the list of All India Crockery bank.
