Sometime between June and August 2019, {lJ had a conversation with Mr. Adamowski about
former CPS attorney Mr. Jim Ciesil's termination. [EEE and I were there.
may have been there. This conversation occurred at (iE! meeting. [Mis not
sure how the subject came up. Mr. Adamowski said that he was privy to why Mr. Ciesil was fired and
he would tell them, but not to tell anyone else. Mr. Adamowski said that Mr. Ciesil was representing
CPS in court and was questioning a witness, He asked the witness if another individual called the
witness ‘the n word.” However, Mr. Ciesil actually said the slur. Before court had gone down, Mr.
Ciesil’s statement had already been passed along to Dr. Janice Jackson ID. Chief
Executive Officer, and she made the decision to fire him on the spot. In telling this story, Mr.

CONFIDENTIALAdamowski was “almost boastful.” He was chuckling and asking “Why would Jim do something like
that?" [EE EE and SI were in shock when Mr. Adamowski told them about
Mr, Ciesil.
Mr. Adamowski had previously told {NE about Mr. Ciesil’s termination because fj was
working on a case with Mr. Ciesil and would need to get in contact with him about the case. Mr.
Adamowski said that if J emailed Mr, Clesil JJ would get a bounce back message.
Although Mr. Adamowski told SS SEES and SI not to share the
information about Mr. Ciesil’s termination, everyone that Mr. Adamowski supervises now knows the
story, There are whispers among the staff.
[i has never seen a tweet made by Ms. Chamira Sankey ID EEE 2 Psychology
Intern who was fired. However, SEE mace [J aware of a tweet Ms, Sankey had previously
posted right after the union employees got back from the 2019 work stoppage. i told [ij
(RB 2nd SR that an issue with a tweet occurred and [J was not sure how to handle it. No
one ever showed IN @ video made by Ms. Sankey.
Before November 18, 2019, (EEE had never heard Mr. Adamowski use a racial slur.
never heard him use bigoted language.
On November 18, 2019, there was an IEEE meeting that began around 1:00 p.m. It
ended around 2:40 p.m. The meeting was “heated.” The [EEEEEEE§ad been asking for a salary
adjustment. The CPS Talent Office allows individuals to argue that they are not compensated properly
if they have the same duties as an employee with similar duties who is paid at a higher rate. The
(ER wee arguing that they had the same duties as a principal. Mr. Adamowski had told
them they could go to Talent and he would support their effort. There was no response to their
request from Talent, so they went to [i i
[HR |n the November 18, 2019, meeting, Mr. Adamowski told them that {IEE had said that
the (EEN could not have a salary adjustment. He told the {EEE that they could meet
with him one on one if they wanted to discuss the decision. The [EEE were upset.
After the meeting, [IEEE went back to [Jj desk with INN At their desks, they
talked abou and the meeting they had just left. They were not discussing
disciplinary issues. EE anc [I were sitting at their desks.
Mr. Adamowski then came to their area. He talked casually about how much work he had. He
said that he was overwhelmed. He stood next to [EEN desk. He mentioned that he was having
an issue with an employee that he was terminating. He said that he had to meet with “Mary and Jim"
about the issue. NNN grabbed Mr. Adamowski's arm and said “Anthony, Jim's not here
anymore." He replied *! know, | know, | meant Joe Moriarty.”
HEE @sed if the employee he was talking about was one of the employees
Mr. Adamowski asked who [J meant. [J identified an employee. He told
not that person. [llJ asked him if he knew what was going on with [lj employee. He said no. He then

Confwennasidentified a psychology intern as the employee he planned to terminate. He explained that the intern
had posted a tweet about someone doing something to the president, He may have said she was
soliciting someone to kill the president.
He said that his phone was blowing up during the work stoppage and Jadine Chou
IDE, the Chief of Safety and Security, contacted him to let him know that the FBI and CIA
were trying to locate the intern to ask her about the tweet. He may have seid Secret Service instead
of CIA.
EE Was half listening to the conversation, because it did not concern {J employees.
Mr, Adamowski said that the intern had left the tweet up and then went on YouTube and posted
an 18 minute and 33 second video about the incident. It was a rant about the interrogation of the
intern, He said that she had said that an agent had tried to intimidate her.
He began acting the way the girl must have acted in the video. He imitated her. He said that
she had said “This nigger came up on me.” The statement was loud. INN was surprised that
others did not hear it. In response to Mr. Adamowski’s comment, (IEE said “Oh my goo."

There were some team members there, but {lj does not remember who.
