The course is intended to provide power engineering students with knowledge of important power system components and how to analyze large interconnected power systems. Over 9 chapters, it will cover topics such as power systems overview, basic concepts, modeling of generators and transformers, transmission line impedance, modeling transmission line performance, power flow representation and solutions, load flow analysis, balanced faults, and symmetrical components for unbalanced fault analysis. Students will learn both the theoretical foundations and practical applications needed to understand and work with modern power grids.
