Erudite is an educational institute with a difference. It was incorporated

in 1998, and has already become a household name for various
Management entrance examinations. It has attained unparalleled

every aspect of the delivery process. Erudite has expanded its
operations across the country over the years and has developed a Pan
India network.
Today an MBA is one of the foremost career options taken up by the
best of students. The reasons being the excellent career growth paths
and high salaries offered to MBAs. The course has evolved to become
one of the most well known ones in the country and has proved to be
Mr. Kaushik Kapoor
the best platform to launch a flourishing career in the corporate sector.
We, at Erudite, have always followed the simple policy of “student first” i.e. „Students are at the centre of all we
do‟. Well proven teaching methodologies, personalized attention, special sessions on specific topics and
strategies, highest number of contact hours with students, and institute counseling are some of the core areas our
courses focus on and this has provided us with a distinct competitive advantage. Our study materials are
undoubtedly the best in the industry and a dedicated R & D team works round the year to lend perfection to our
publications. The various tests conducted by us have become hallmarks in the industry and our SIM CATs are
widely taken by the student community. These tests are conducted in the online mode just as per the dictates of
the actual CAT examination. Today at Erudite, over a hundred academicians and professionals around the
country provide their dedicated support for nurturing future managers and leaders. The management team is
from the IIMs, XLRI and other top B-schools.

The aim of education is to teach us how to think, and not what to think.
B – School Selection Criteria
There are thousands of B-schools in the country and over 100 B-school rankings. In this situation applicants can get
confused by the rankings instead of actually analyzing the MBA curriculum and deciding which school would be
the best fit. Just as in clothing, there are different kinds of B-Schools to choose from, but there is no „one size fits
all‟. The selection of the B-School is a very important decision which has to be taken with the utmost care.
To get you started, here is a list of a few aspects you need to look at while selecting B-schools to make sure that
you are on the right track.
Specialization: The functional area that you wish to pursue within the MBA program should be a part of the
curriculum of the courses offered in the institute.
Peer Group: The contribution of the peer group in the learning process in MBA is immeasurable. Hence, it is
important that aspirants must select a school which has a proper mix of students from different educational
backgrounds and with varied work experience.
Faculty: The Faculty constitutes the backbone of any educational institution. In a DREAM B-School, the faculty
should not only be well qualified but should themselves be writing papers in Journals of national and international
repute, be consulting organizations, be in constant contact with the current business environment and be
involved in research.
Placements: Of course the Return on Investment (RoI) is an important criterion in selecting a B-school, But it is
important that the term “Placements” should not only include “SALARY”, but also take into account the PROFILE
of the jobs offered and reputation of the companies visiting the campus.
A good college should have a representation from as many Industries as possible.
Fees & Infrastructure: MBA programs do not come cheap. However, it is quite easy to obtain financial aid/loans
for pursuing an MBA, especially if you are doing the MBA from one of the top ten B-schools.
Facilities like Internet also have an important role to play, hence, Infrastructure must be considered.
Alumni Network: If the alumni of the school are in well-respected positions in various industries, it automatically
ensures a good standing for the school in the corporate world, which, in turn, implies better placement
opportunities.

Don‟t settle for anything less than the BEST!!!

Some Frequently Asked Questions:
1. I have graduated in Arts/ Commerce/ Medicine and have not studied Mathematics in college. Will I be able
to cope with the high level of Mathematics required in the CAT and other MBA exams?
A. In CAT and other management entrance exams, you will not be expected to know Calculus or higher
mathematics. The test is of Mathematical Aptitude using only the concepts and formulae you learnt till 10 th
Standard. Once the basic concepts are revised, all students are more or less at the same level. The key to
acing the Quantitative section then becomes a thorough understanding of the fundamentals and extensive
practice of our study material. At ERUDITE the course starts at a very basic level and ensures a firm grasp of
fundamentals before progressing to the various ways in which these concepts are tested.
2. I have completed my schooling in the vernacular medium and I feel my English is very weak. Won’t the English
section of the CAT be too difficult for me?
A. Improving English is a matter of disciplined effort and regular practice. Being adept at the English language
will definitely be helpful in your career. So even if you feel you are weak in this area, the extensive training
provided at ERUDITE will transform your competency with the language. A variety of teaching methodologies
ensures that many of our students who, in fact, have studied in their regional language get into the best MBA
colleges.
3. I am not very familiar with computers. Will I have any difficulty with the online test?
A. Just a very basic familiarity with computers is required to take the online CAT test. Moreover the highly
acclaimed SIMCATs (online mock tests) of ERUDITE will give you sufficient practice to make you feel at home
with the actual testing format.
4. My communication skills are very weak. How will I crack the Group Discussion and Personal Interview?
A. This is a common worry among students and you will be surprised at how much of a difference a bit of
practice can make. This fear is usually unfounded as most students have never had the opportunity to face
Group Discussions and Interviews. With training in the correct approach for these tests, and the extensive
practice provided by us, you will definitely be able to face these tests confidently.
5. I have a poor academic record/ no work experience. Can I still get admission in the top B-schools?
A. The criteria for selection are the marks in the Written Test, Group Discussion, Personal Interview, Academics,
and Work Experience. Of these, the first three are the most important and our training gives you a great
chance to get selected on the basis of these. Though work experience certainly does help, lack of work
experience is absolutely not a road block.
6. I am currently working/ studying. Can I still cope with the preparations for CAT and manage my work/study at
the same time?
A. Very few students study full-time for CAT. Proper Time Management and the flexible class schedules we offer
will enable you to manage both areas well. While it may require sacrificing some „fun‟, you will definitely find it
worthwhile when you get into that dream college. Moreover, the dedicated and extremely experienced
team of counsellors and faculty at ERUDITE will help you to come up with a study plan.
7. There are so many exams like FMS, CAT, XAT, CET etc. And there are many different institutions too! How will I
select which ones to take?
A. Most students take at least 3 of these exams to have better chances and also to increase their options. We will
provide you training for each of these exams, and our years of experience will help you to select the best B-
school you deserve. Step-by step guidance will ensure that the entire process of appearing for various exams
and selecting from the array of B-schools will be smooth sailing.
8. I have heard that the CAT is too difficult and only for nerdy geniuses. How could I stand a chance?
A. The enormous hype surrounding the CAT, which makes it appear like some invincible monster, is just that...
hype. In fact, the CAT tests your aptitude for management and uses only your knowledge of elementary
Mathematics concepts, and English. It is true that it is difficult to get into the IIMs because of the high number
of applicants for the test and the limited number of seats. Do not be among those who believe the hype and
scare themselves into giving up even before they try. With disciplined effort, and our comprehensive
guidance you will find that the only thing that could stop you from cracking the CAT could be your self-doubt.
Believe in yourself, and we will help you crack it!!!
