Astra Plc is a small-sized company specializing in vitamin and mineral-based food supplements.

The company is looking to diversify its portfolio by launching a new health and fitness app in the
next three months. These slides will present the overall journey of this app building.
Here the feature of the app has been shown. What kind of things this will contain, or how this
can help. This app will allow users to set fitness targets, Reminds you of your goals and
prompting you to follow through on them, Provide tools and information: calorie calculator,
track caloric intake Virtual trainer who plans your workouts and coaches you along suggest
workout ideas Sharing progress on social media to facilitate healthy behavior change features:
result tracking, motivation to keep going, socializing, and even education on the topic.

The reason for building this app is multiple. This will boost up the company in any way. Basis of
making it,

 To diversify its portfolio

 Company profitability - Increased Sales and Revenue
 Used as a defense. By diversifying products or services, a company can protect itself
from competing companies
 Companies gain more technological capability
 Brand Equity
Potential customers of this app could be

 Youngsters
 Parents
 Professionals
 Retired customers
 Athletes
 Social Media Influencers
Here are three steps to follow against potential risk and mitigating

STEP 1

 The risk of creating an app that your target customers don't like is as follows.

 Pre-Launch Opportunities That Were Passed Up

 Not Releasing Updates

STEP 2

 Failure of project

 A typical blunder is starting campaign campaigns too late, which results in less traction
when the product is published

 Customers will leave apps that cause them pain or irritation, leaving software publishers
with poor engagement rates and a negative brand image. Bugs, a lack of critical features,
or excessive battery consumption are only a couple of the issues that drive consumers to
uninstall an app in favor of a competitor's.

STEP 3
 Seek input from customers and understand what type of feature and functionality they
would be looking for in a mobile experience (Stangarone, 2021).

 Motivate industry influencers and reporters to chat about the app across various outlets,
including social media networks, advertisements, and blogs. Spread the word as widely
as possible ([Link],2021).

 To stop this, make sure the software is updated daily and that consumer questions are
addressed. ([Link],2021)

Some points which can express and determine the project success are

 Evaluative capabilities for a critical discussion of decisions

 Bureaucratic bypass to get things done without having to go through formal protocols of
the parent organization

 Team spirit excitement and joy

 Continuity of skills and experience gained

This app will allow users to maintain their health and fitness with the increasing promotion of the
company. For creating the company's diversified portfolio, this app has been built. Young, freak
and professional people are the primary targets. By maintaining all the technical and market
policies from the beginning, risk could be avoidable. This is expected to be a successful project
and a new hope for the company.

next three months.

The method for producing, designing, and deploying mobile apps for portable devices, such as
smartphones or tablets, may be specified for a general and specific purpose. Usually, they are
built on iOS, Android, and Windows. There are three stages and a few sub-stages of the plan for
this project.

 Development
 Draft - idea.
 Research.
 Mockups and Graphic Design.
 Build the app.
 Review
 Identifying problems/bugs
 Expert review
 Market Review
 Solving the Problems
 Publish
 Publish in App store
 Observe the market
 Marketing
 Maintenance

Project Scope
Plan scope includes the definition and documentation of the list of project priorities, deliverables,
features, roles, activities, time limits, and final costs. The project scope for the Astra Plc fitness
app is here below.
The app design and launch cost: Having various features about health and fitness, this app will
be designed for the consumers. These features will be

 Log-in/ Register
 Notification
 sleep cycles
 Fitness target
 Diet planning
 Workout plan/routine
 Professional trainer
 Expert's consultancy
 Payments

The research and data for building a health and fitness app will estimate the cost of at least
$88,250 for one platform (iOS or Android) and $150,850 for two platforms (based on a $50/h
rate).

Social media integration: The application can be improved by simply integrating social media
into an app. It is a crucial instrument for the relationship with customers, promotions, and
customer service. By integrating with the company's social media accounts, this project plan will
be reached to the current customers, and it can create a potential market value. Below here the
benefits of social media integration have been pointed out.

 Connectivity
 Amplified App/brand awareness
 Better customer satisfaction
 A large audience of potential app users
 Higher conversion rate
 Cost-efficient

In-app Purchase: In-app purchase of this app will be the;

 Professional trainer: By purchasing this feature, they can get a professional gym
trainer for a workout plan.
 Expert's consultancy: In this feature, consumers can connect with a certified
doctor to set up their diet plan.

App customization: If the wishes and desires of consumers are taken into account, the product
creator can update the app that attracts all user circulation, and users will enjoy these features
daily. This app will follow four-way for customization; here they are;

 Use Data to Segment Your Users

 Use Push Notifications
 Save their last action for reopening
 Send Smart Recommendations

Testing of the app: App testing is a method for examining reliability, functionality, and
performance bugs in mobile apps. Our app will go through these testing;

 Selection of the device.

 Documentation Testing.
 Functional testing.
 Usability Testing.
 UI (User Interface) testing.
 Compatibility (Configuration) testing.
 Performance testing.
 Security testing.

Launch of the app: After setting up all the things and testing it several times, experts review
this app will launch in the market.
Project risk

Since the healthcare industry is growing and more companies are looking forward to developing
a unique solution to make a difference, there is significant competition surrounding the wellness
industry. While thinking about launching an app can be exciting, it comes with challenges that
developers might want to look into.

1. Cost overrun: When developing a particular app exceeds the budget, we can term that as
cost overrun. Cost of a project, when determined, follows a specific budget. However, the
project costing more would turn into a complete failure that risks the app's launch.
Although costs turn out to be high for launching onto the market, they become quite a
liability if not taken under control.

2. Delays in app design: when a project is delayed, the entire scheme of the project is
delayed as well, causing it to execute the launch of the app much later than it had been
initially anticipated. Delay in app design can also jeopardize the support of the targeted
audience.

3. Design and compatibility issues: many developers face the challenges of different
screen sizes and their designs. The compatibility issue arises when the app isn't inclusive
of all screen sizes. The main goal of an app is to launch a format that can run smoothly
across all devices.

4. Competition from other apps: targeting an audience is vital for any app launch. The
target market can define the win or loss of a project. Since there are thousands of
applications available in the market, the only way an app stands out is by being unique
and definitive to fulfilling the requirements of the targeted audience. While this is a
challenge and risk factor for every company out there, the individual solutions to
approach the market works well in one's favor.
