Ammonia Detection in Water Study

Experiment 3 determined the ammonia (NH4+) content in water samples. The results showed that both water samples (A and B) contained higher concentrations of ammonia than the acceptable standard of 1.5mg/L. Nitrogen is essential for plant growth but high levels can be toxic to humans and the environment. The experiment used a colorimetric method with Nessler's reagent to measure the concentration of ammonia in water samples.
