INTRODUCTION:
Pollution is now a commonplace term that our ears are attuned to. We
hear about the various forms of pollution every day and read about it
through the mass media. Air pollution is one such form that refers to
the contamination of the air, irrespective of indoors or outside.

First, we are coming to the introduction to air pollution. To commence
with, we should get the hang of the definition of air pollution.
[read the definition]
So, what are the motives behind air pollution? There are two main
culprits which are anthropogenic culprits (or manmade causes) and ones
from nature.
The nature causes include [read the slide]
There are more but since not everything can be put on one slide so I
just put a few.
The manmade culprits mainly fuel the problem. They consist of [read
the slide], and many more.
So what are the repercussions of the problem?
Clé
The effects of air pollution are enormous. We have enlisted three in
the slides here.
Firstly, it affects our health. They are known to create several
respiratory and heart conditions like asthma, bronchitis, lung cancer.
Next, it damages our environment. It causes acid rains, the worsening
condition of animal’s habitat, et cetera.
Finally, another direct effect is the immediate alterations that the
world is witnessing due to global warming. With increased temperatures
worldwide, an increase in sea levels and melting of ice from colder
regions and icebergs, displacement, and loss of habitat have already
signaled an impending disaster if actions for preservation and
normalization aren’t undertaken soon.

So, the situation is more serious than we thought right? Why don’t we
come to some statistics? These facts are extracted from WHO (World
Health Organization)
9 in 10 people worlwide died due to bad air quality which
constitutes 7 million deaths due to exposure to polluted air.
However, in 2016, 91% population lives in places where air
quality is not standardized enough.
And according to the rankings in Air Quality Index, Dhaka in
Bangladesh seems to have the worst air quality. And in Vietnam, the
air quality has improved a lot, but in Thủ Đức, HCM CT, the air
quality is still among the worst.

Finally, we should seek for some measures which should be taken to
reduce the air pollution.

So that’s what the government in Vietnam had done to improve the air
quality. But to completely resolves the problem, each and every of us
should also take actions. There are several actions bullet points for
you to follow.
We should conserve energy everywhere, use environmentally friendly
means of transports, cut down on the use of fireplace or wood stove,
avoid burning biomass and materials and enthusiastically take part in
air pollution campaign.
That’s the end of our presentation. Thanks for your attention.
