AFFIDAVIT

I, RUFFERS C. OSOTEO, of legal age, married, Filipino citizen and a


resident of and with postal address at Brgy. Baroro, Bacnotan, La Union,
Philippines after having been sworn to in accordance to law, hereby depose
and state that:

1. I am married to Charmaine Jane Macabitas, daughter of Punong


Barangay Randy Macabitas of Brgy. Baroro, Bacnotan, La Union;

2. I received a text message from one, NIMFA GOMEZ sent through


her Facebook account;

3. The text message sent by NIMFA contained malicious imputations


against my father-in-law, Punong Barangay Randy Macabitas;

4. In the subject text message, NIMFA describe my father-in-law as


“manloloko ng babae”, “magkakapatid pala mga inaanakan nya,
“pineperahan ang may asawa pa ng foreigner” and others. I am
attaching herewith a copy of the screen shot of the text message she
sent to me through her FB account which I adopt and mark as
ANNEX “1” and herein made integral part hereof;

5. The foregoing malicious imputations bothered me no end and caused


me to doubt my father-in-law’s character and personality which
eventually caused a spat in the relationship between me and my
wife, Charmaine;

6. Contrary to the wishes of the sender, NIMFA, I decided to show and


share the text message I received from NIMFA in order for me to
ask about the contents of the text message from my father-in-law and
to find out whether the imputations are true or not;

7. I agree with my father-in-law that the text message was definitely


intended to dishonor, discredit or contempt him and his family,
including myself;

8. The sender, NIMFA even tried to bribe me with a pair of shoes in


exchange for not showing or sharing her text message imputing
malicious acts and/or circumstances against my father-in-law, Randy
Macabitas and which offer I declined to accept; and
9. I executed this Affidavit to attest to the truth of the foregoing, in
good faith and for all legal intents and purposes.
