Jan 19, 2021(Tuesday)

Today is the first day for me to enter EIS campus and I feel so excited to spend my three
months’ internship. The place is very new to me which I have never been here before. I wake up
very early in the morning and get ready to go to the school. Before I and my intern friends enter
school’s gate, we have to wait for Mr. Ian for a while because the gate is very strict and we
cannot enter without any permission. After we arrive in the campus, we have to meet with the
academic principal and he gives us a brief orientation about online learning. After that we have
school tour where we suppose to know during our internship. In the afternoon, we are assigned to
supervise online learning students in the library. Those students are faculty’s or staffs’ kid which
they have no one to monitor their kids at home. After school, we have a chance to meet with our
homeroom teachers or supervising teachers at 2:30 to 3:00 PM. For me, I didn’t meet with my
homeroom teacher because she is busy and she cannot join the meeting at that time.

January 20, 2021 (Wednesday)

In the second day of observation, I have a chance to meet my homeroom teacher. She
welcomes me to the class and I do my observation during she teaches. She introduces me to the
students and allow me to sit behind her facing the students on the screen together with her. The
class is divided into for section which are Grade 3A, B, C, and D. They have different homeroom
teacher for each section. My supervising teacher is Grade 3D’s homeroom teacher. She teaches
Grade 3A, B, C, D Social studies and Grade 3D values. The others subjects are teaching by other
teachers. It means that Grade 3 has four homeroom teachers. Grade 3A homeroom teacher
teaches only Math for every sections and Grade 3A values subject. Grade 3B homeroom teacher
teaches Language Art and Grade 3C homeroom teacher teaches Science. Today, I observe only
Social Studies in Grade 3ABCD and Values in Grade 3D.
 January 21, 2021 (Thursday)

I am still with my homeroom teacher today because I don’t have EIS email account yet to
join other teachers’ online class. IT department still preparing EIS email for us and we still need
to wait for a day. All of the teachers here use Google classroom and they have to access it by EIS
email only. Which means we cannot get inside the class unless teacher invited us. Imagine, I sit
beside the teacher the whole class and facing the computer which are students faces appear on
the screen. It’s very boring and sleepy day ever. I have to observe every classes with many
difference subjects such as Math, Science, Health, Social Studies, Values, Language Art, and
Computer. Honestly, I feel sleepy the whole day sitting beside teacher without doing anything
expect observing.

January 22, 2021 (Friday)

This is another observing day for me to be here in EIS. I do the same thing like yesterday.
I just sit beside teacher during teaching. Facing the screen, the whole day and feel sleepy. We,
intern students were assigned to monitor faculties’ kids at library. So I have to go one period
there. After that come back to my homeroom’s teacher to observe online class again. After
school, I have a chance to talk to my homeroom teacher about what I need to do for my
internship. My homeroom teacher also shares me about her teaching experiences and talks about
some students’ behavior. We discuss so many things about teaching and get to know each other
more.

January 25, 2021 (Monday)

This is another week of my internship and I try to learn from other teacher as much as I
can during online class. I feel like I can approach some of the teachers in Grade-3 and I began to
adapt with this new environment a bit. Today, it’s special for me because I get my EIS email
account which I can login by myself through personal laptop. I feel more comfortable to assess
online class with my personal laptop. I use my personal hotspot to assess online class. I cannot
assess school Wi-Fi because I haven’t register my computer to IT department yet. The last two
periods, school Wi-Fi connection fails and no one can connect the internet. At that time, I
observe Science class. When connection fails, only students and I in online class. The students
start teasing each other and write so many things in group chat box. A few minutes later, I go to
Science teacher’s office and I ask her to use my computer first. Luckily, she can finish her lesson
what she has planned. After school, we have a long talk and share our experiences.

January 26, 2021 (Tuesday)

Today, I go to IT department to register my computer and ask for Wi-Fi password. So

that I will be able to assess the internet whenever I login. I help teacher to arrange the folders and
students work today. I heard teacher said the students will come back to school next week, and
they will be able to attend face to face class. I am happy that they allow to have face to face class
because if they continue online learning, the school not allow intern students to teach online
class. Most of the parents want to send their children to school but still a few of them don’t want
their kids to come. If not all the students come to school, it means teacher has double jobs.
Teacher will teach in the classroom and also teach online students. It’s quite challenging for
teachers. Every Wednesday, teachers have meeting and they will bring this concern to the
meeting tomorrow.

January 27, 2021 (Wednesday)

I have to go to High School library to monitor students for the first class. After that I
come back to classroom again to observe students online. Some of the students like to work at
home and some students want to come back to school. I can feel that they miss school and their
friends. Teacher lets me to introduce myself to the students and I feel very exciting because some
of the parents sitting beside their children. Some of the students ask a lot of question about me
and I try to answer them as much as I can. One thing that I have observe during online class is
some of the parents do homework for their children. When students submit their works, teacher
can recognize that are not their own work. So teacher remind them again and again to do the
work by themselves.
 January 28, 2021 (Thursday)

This is the last two day of online class. I can’t wait for students to come to school. Today
is nothing special. It’s just repeating. I go to library to monitor students, come back to classroom,
open computer to access online class. I feel sleepy in some classes and Wi-Fi fails sometimes. I
just observe the whole day. After school, I usually talk to teacher before I go to my dorm. She
talks about each student behavior so that I will be aware of and know each one of them when
they come back to school. Homeroom teacher is very kind to me and she has many year of
experiences in teaching.

January 29, 2021 (Friday)

Today is Friday and it will be the last day of online class. I feel excited to meet students
on this coming Monday. I do observe online class until the last period. After school, my
homeroom teacher and I prepare something that need to be done when students come back. We
arrange the desks and chairs for students which they still need to practice social distancing.
Printing some announcements papers to stick it on the bulletin board. We have so much work to
do after school. We don’t know exactly how many students will come back but we just arrange
the desks for everyone. For those do not come back, we will remove their desks and chairs at the
back. I want to say that I am very excited to see students face to face and I am thinking about
how to deal with the students if I have to teach.

February 1, 2021 (Monday)

This is the first day we have face to face class. A lot of students are lining up in front of
the entrance because the school needs to check everything for safety. We have to wear face mask
and as well as face shield. Most of the students brings only mask. So they need to buy face shield
at entrance gate before they enter the school and they also need to check temperature. I feel so
stress today and I feel like I cannot breathe properly. The face shield is heavy and also need to
wear mask. I feel not comfortable to this situation. Anyway, everyone need to wear and we have
to follow the rule. I see most of the students don’t like to wear it too. They usually take off face
shield and face mask. The teachers need to remain them all the time about wearing mask. And I
can say it’s a tough day for me today.

February 2, 2021 (Tuesday)

Today is the second day I meet the students and I am happy that most of students can
remember my name. They will call me when they see me outside of the classroom. Some of
students want to know more about me and ask me so many questions. I feel welcome to do my
internship. I stay with homeroom teacher the whole day to observe the teaching and the students.
They look so active and they always want to talk to their friends in the class and even during
lecture. Maybe they haven’t meet each other for a long time since they have online class for a
few months. If they talk with low voice, they cannot hear each other because everyone wears
face shield and face mask. Some of the student’s sound like shout and have to use loud voice in
order to hear one another. Teacher also need to use microphone so that the whole class can hear
her when she is teaching.

February 3, 2021 (Wednesday)

Today, I come to school early and I join morning worship with the students. They have
flag line up in the classroom before they have worship in the class. They will sing Thai national
anthem song first for the whole elementary building. After that they will worship in their own
classroom. Homeroom teacher opens God song from YouTube and she encourages students to
sing along the song. Only five students are Christian in Grade3D but it’s surprising me that they
can sing God song well and everyone knows how to pray to God. When I ask teacher about
worship, she shares everything about that and she usually assigns them to lead worship by pair.
So that they know how to pray. I still stay with my homeroom teacher today and I try to
remember them by name. I also assist teacher to approach students who need help during
classwork. I observe one of the students today during lecturing and classwork. He is kind of day
dreaming and not really concentrate in teaching. He also slows in writing. When teacher asks
him to copy the work from white board, it takes so long for him to finish while his friends finish
long time already. I sit beside him and help him.

February 4, 2021 (Thursday)

My homeroom teacher asks me to lead morning worship next week. After that she
assigns students to lead morning worship by pair. I have to prepare worship for the whole week
too. During lunch time, I eat lunch with students in the classroom and we share the food to one
another. This is the best way to approach the students individually and get to know more about
them. They are really cute and innocent. They ask so many questions about me, the questions
like where are you from? Why do you want to be a teacher? What subject are you going to
teach? What do you like to eat? I feel so happy that they respect me like I am their teacher. And I
also have motivation to do my internship here. I will try my best to do my internship here and
learn as much as I can.

February 5, 2021 (Friday)

I am so exiting to meet with all teachers in Grade3 today. We have meeting for arranging
my teaching schedule for every subjects that I will teach. We discuss about it and then they
decide to give me to teach one subject for one week. It means that I have to take care one subject
for the whole week like full teacher. Even classroom management, I have to take care of
everything happens in the classroom. I am worry and I am not sure whether I can do it or not.
Teachers encourage me to do my best and they promise to help me if I really need help. All of
Grade 3 homeroom teachers are kind and they are ready to help me when I need help. My
homeroom teacher asks me to lead morning devotion this next week Monday. She gives me time
to prepare for it. After that I help her to check students’ classwork and record the score for her.
 February 8, 2021 (Monday)

Today is the first day for me to lead morning devotion. I have prepared the song, story,
video, and power point for the students. They enjoy to sing action song and watch the story that I
have prepared for them. I feel like they listen to me and pay attention to what I say. After the
sharing the story, I ask them to find out what kind of value they can apply to their real life. Some
answer surprise me because I don’t even have much idea like them. They even ask the questions
that require high level of knowledge to be able to answer their questions. I really proud of them.

February 9, 2021 (Tuesday)

This is an another day of leading morning devotion. I repeat the same things like
yesterday. But I just share another new story and do the same procedure. I just learn that being
teacher is not only you need to provide the information from the textbook. You also need to
know so many things beyond textbook. You have to try to gather the knowledge from many
sources. The more knowledge you have, the more chance to become an effective teacher. I also
help my homeroom teacher to check students’ work and record the score for them. For those who
haven’t submit their works, I have to remind them to finish their work. I also help the students
who need help to complete their works during lunch time.

February 10, 2021 (Wednesday)

The students are enjoying the worship even though they are not Christian and they can
sing gospel song well. When I ask teacher about worship, she shares everything about that and
she usually assigns them to lead worship by pair. So that they know how to pray. I still stay with
my homeroom teacher today and I try to remember them by name. I also assist teacher to
approach students who need help during classwork.
 February 11, 2021 (Thursday)

Today is the last day of school for this week. Tomorrow is Chinese New Year holiday.
The students are very happy because some of their parents will celebrate Chinese New Year at
home and they will also receive the gift from their parents. Most of Grade3 students are Chinese-
Thai. I still lead morning worship today. After that I help my homeroom teacher to check
students’ classwork and their assignments also. I need to finish checking every work for students
today because tomorrow is holiday. They need to bring their book home and do their new
assignment. After that give their works to them and ask them to put it in their bags. I have to
remind them all the time because they usually forget what they need to bring their work to home.

February 15, 2021 (Monday)

Honestly, I feel very tire and sleepy today. I just sit the whole day at the back of the
class. I also help teacher to check students’ classwork and homework. I do the same things like
the other days such as record the score and move around the class to help students who need
help. Some parents complain about wear face shield. Some of students feel dizzy and headache
after wearing face shield. So that they announce to wear mask only but have to wear all the time
whether in classroom and outside of the classroom as long as they are in campus.

February 16, 2021 (Tuesday)

It’s very boring to sit in the same place and do the same things every day. I don’t have so
much work to do. I have to do marking only for Grade 3C today. I can say that I am available the
whole day today. I just sit at the back of the class to write my daily journal. I go to another
homeroom teacher to ask for work what I can help her. For me, it’s better to do something in my
free time. If I don’t have anything to do, I just feel sleepy or boring.
 February 17, 2021 (Wednesday)

Today, my homeroom teacher asks me to replace her because she doesn’t feel well. She
needs to take some rest for a few minutes. I replace her class and the lesson is going well. The
lesson that I teach not hard for me because I have seen how she taught the same lesson from
yesterday. Grade 3D is the last class to learn this lesson. So I can say the lesson is going well and
I observe the students as well. They can answer my questions because they understand what I
teach them. It’s good for me to have teaching experience like this.

February 18, 2021 (Thursday)

When I arrive to the class, I check every trails whether students submit their work or not.
Normally, students will submit their work in trails which written with different classes such as
Grade3A, 3B, 3C, and 3D trail. After I check their work, I don’t have anything to do. I ask
permission from my homeroom teacher that I will go to help another homeroom teacher in
Grade3C. Then I stay there the whole day and I help her to decorate Science bulletin board.

February 19, 2021 (Friday)

I need to finish checking every work for students today because they need to bring their
book home and do their new assignment. After that give their works to them and ask them to put
it in their bags. I have to remind them all the time because they usually forget what they need to
bring their work to home. After that I help teacher to check students’ drawer because they need
to clean their desks and drawer every Friday.

February 22, 2021 (Monday)

This week is friendship week and they have arranged the program about related to doing
good things to other people or friends. They will not have values class for the whole week
because they will use values class as friendship club. The elementary supervisor will go to each
class and provide the materials that need to use and also show every homeroom teacher about
what they need to do and how they will do with the materials.

February 23, 2021 (Tuesday)

Today, I see something in the class that really touch my heart. The students start to act
kindness to each other. They even share love, care, hug and also sharing food to one another. At
the same time, the school celebrates valentine’s day as well. Students’ bring their gifts like
chocolate, balloon, doll, and bear to the class. Teacher gives them time to share their gift to their
friends. First period, they will not study and teacher gives them free time for a period.

February 24, 2021 (Wednesday)

Today, I help students to finish their wrist band because they need to give their handmade
wrist band to their secret partner tomorrow. Some students can finish without helping but some
students cannot finish without helping from teacher. Those finish early, they need to do extra
work such as coloring the pattern. So that they will not wondering around the class and disturb
their friends.

February 25, 2021 (Thursday)

I need to finish checking every work for students today because tomorrow is holiday
again (Makha Bucha Day). They need to bring their book home and do their new assignment.
After that give their works to them and ask them to put it in their bags. I have to remind them all
the time because they usually forget what they need to bring their work to home. After that I help
teacher to check students’ drawer because they need to clean their desks and drawers.
 March 1, 2021 (Monday)

Today, I have meeting with every homeroom teacher in Grade3 during Thai class. They
discuss about which subject I am going to teach for next week. I bring the schedule that I have
prepared and show it to them. So that it will be easy to arrange for my teaching period for each
subjects. Finally, they ask me to teach one subject for the whole week. The first subject that I am
going to teach is science.

March 2, 2021 (Tuesday)

My homeroom is very kind. She gives me time to prepare for my teaching and lesson
plan. She borrows me her textbook and she allows me to bring it home. So that I have time to
prepare for my teaching. I eat lunch with the students in the class today and they share some food
to me because I do not bring anything for my lunch today. That’s all what I do today.

March 3, 2021 (Wednesday)

I don’t have so much work to do today. I have to do marking and I just stay in the
classroom for the whole day today. I just sit at the back of the class to write my daily journal. I
go to another homeroom teacher to ask for work what I can help her. For me, it’s better to do
something in my free time. If I don’t have anything to do, I just feel sleepy or boring. I try to find
any materials that I need for my teaching.

March 4, 2021 (Thursday)

I observe one of the students today during lecturing and classwork. He is kind of day

I have a chance to teach science for every classes today. I feel very tire today because I
have to teach fours classes consistently. Luckily, I use microphone so the students can hear me
well even they are sitting at the back. I feel like they listen to me and understand what I am
trying to say. It’s fun during class activity. They enjoy the activity and sharing the answer to one
another.

March 8, 2021 (Monday)

The subject that I am going to teach today is social studies. I come to school early today
because I need to print out some materials for my teaching. It takes a long time to finish
everything because the printer is not really good and slow processing. I have to teach in third
period and I still have to practice and get ready for my teaching. The students show their
happiness when they know that I will teach them today. I also happy that they are glad to learn
the new lesson with me.

March 9, 2021 (Tuesday)

Yesterday, I taught only Grade 3C and Grade 3A in the following schedule. Today, I
have to teach the other two classes, Grade 3B and Grade 3D. I don’t need to prepare or practice
much because the lesson is the same with yesterday lesson which I have already taught the other
two classes. It’s easy for me to handle with it. I have more confident to stand in front of the
students. And I am also happy that they respect me and listen to me as their teacher.

March 10, 2021 (Wednesday)

I finish the lecture for four classes from previous day. Today, the students have to do
practice book which is related to the yesterday lesson. They have to complete it in the class
because they cannot bring the practice book home. After they finish their work, they need to
keep the book back to the shelf. A few students cannot finish it on times. Anyway, they all need
to keep their book on the shelf. If they want to finish, they can come in lunch time or after
school.

March 11, 2021 (Thursday)

Today is the last day to teach social studies because tomorrow is holiday again. I give
them one-week project which is about saving money. They have to save money and record the
amount on the recorded sheet that provided. After school, I stay back to check students’ work
and submit their grade to homeroom teacher. My homeroom teacher has to post their grade
online so that their parents can see the grade.

March 15, 2021 (Monday)

It’s another new week and it’s the time for me to teach another subject which is Math. It’s
a bit challenging for me because I personally not really like math and I am not a math person as
well. I need more time to prepare and practice before I teach. I spend more time to find
information from other sources. I just worry that the students will not get what I am trying to
explain. By the grace of God, the first day of teaching math is going well. It’s not bad because
most of the students understand my teaching.

March 16, 2021 (Tuesday)

I am very tire because I have to teach fours classes every day. I have four classes
consistently. I need to use loud voice so that the whole class will be able to hear me. I do not use
microphone in this class. One of the students comes to me and ask me, why do you want to be a
teacher? I smile at her and answer her about what I have. She is just only eight-year-old girl and
she also want to be a teacher in the future. The way she talks and the way she acts is like adult. It
doesn’t like a kid anymore. She also shares about what’s she going to do if she becomes a
teacher. I really proud of her.
 March 17, 2021 (Wednesday)

Today, I finish my class early. I don’t have anything to do. So I go back to my homeroom
teacher and help her marking students’ work. After that I prepare for tomorrow teaching
materials. I can see myself improving and have more confident in teaching. I also have more
confident in sharing my ideas to the teachers. All of teachers there are kind and good to me. They
help me whenever I need help.

March 18, 2021 (Thursday)

I am happy that all of the teachers are good to me. Actually, I have to provide teaching
materials by myself. I need to buy them at snack bar but teachers help me and provide me
materials that needed for my teaching. I just use the materials that they have in their office. So
that I don’t need to spend my money for teaching materials. There is a rumor inside the campus
and they are talking about covid case was found in our school. The parents and students feel
panic. Some of the parents pick up their children at the same time.

March 19, 2021 (Friday)

Only a few Grade 3 students come to school today. I have more work than usual because
I have to prepare for students who stay home and teach the students in the class as well. It’s quiet
busy today. I also very tire. I have to scan the worksheet and send the work through google
classroom. They will also submit their work through google classroom. After that I need to check
one by one and remark their work and record their score. After that I send it back to them.

March 22, 2021 (Monday)

I am happy that all of the students come back to school again after they know the result of
covid case. Today, I have to teach value or bible. I feel like the students are noisier them before
because they are panic about rumor which was happened yesterday. I cannot control it now and
my classroom management skill is gone. My homeroom teacher also helps me this time. She
helps me to control the class and sit at the back of the class which make students quiet.

March 23, 2021 (Tuesday)

I try to improve my classroom management skill and I should be firm with the rules. I try
to use them and I can say that it’s work well. I do not use the words to stop them but I just write
down their name on the white board and they suddenly quiet. They know if they see their name
on the board, the consequences will follow. They do their classwork quietly and they will raise
their hands what they want to speak. If they do not raise their hand and speak, I do not listen to
them.

March 24, 2021 (Wednesday)

Today is the last day of teaching value because the students will not come to the school
on Thursday and Friday. The students will stay home and only teachers need to attend Teacher &
Staff Professional Development program. So I help teacher to check student’s drawer whether
clean or not. If it’s not clean, they not allow to go home. The classroom needs to be clean before
they go home. Actually Janitor will come to clean the classroom every day after school but
teacher just train students to have good discipline.

March 29, 2021 (Monday)

This is another new week to teach science and health. These two subjects are my favorite
subject and I enjoy to teach the students. And I also have more idea what I need to do for my
teaching especially classwork and gaining their attention. I can prepare more activities for them.
I feel like I have more energy to fight for today. I am happy that the lesson going will today. I am
waiting for another day to teach the lesson. Say fighting to myself.
 March 30, 2021 (Tuesday)

I learn many things from teachers and the students. As a teacher, I should be aware of the
word that come from my mouth. As we know that students will not remember everything what
they have learnt in the class but they will always remember how we treat them. I learn that being
too friendly to the students also not work. If you are very friendly to them, they will not listen to
you what you teach them. Friendly is good between students and teachers but it should have a
limitation.

March 31, 2021 (Wednesday)

Today is another day of teaching science. I want everyone to answer my questions and I
try to ask the questions to each one of them. I find out that quiet students rarely answer the
question. I change another method of teaching style. I try to do group work which everyone need
to participate. Everyone has to come in front and write down the answer on white board. No one
can reject his/her turn this time. The point is everyone has to participate in the activity.

April 1, 2021 (Thursday)

I still teaching science today and I try to add more activities during classwork. So that the
students will enjoy learning science. They will be able to remember what they have learn in the
class and able to apply them outside of the classroom. What I learn today is about I have to keep
my words what I have said. Before I teach, I remind them the rules about their behavior in the
class. If anyone of them misbehave during lecture or classwork, I will give punishment to them.
And one of the students misbehave during teaching but I just quiet until he stops and then
continue teaching. I find out that the other students also want to do the same things like
misbehave students because they know that I am not strict with the rules. I should be careful next
time. But one of my teacher said being too strict is not good and everything has limitation.
 April 2, 2021 (Friday)

Today, I go to science and math teacher to discuss about my university supervisor will
come and observe me next week. I have to teach two difference classes for observation. So I ask
them to give me one period for science and one period for math. After that I borrow text from
them and I prepare my teaching a little bit in my free time. In the second last period, I help my
homeroom teacher to arrange students’ folders and check their cabin whether clean or not. They
need to clean everything in second last class because the last class is Chinese class and they will
not come to the class anymore. They will go home right after the class. After I help teacher for
grading, I also go back to my apartment.

April 5, 2021 (Monday)

The situation is not really good because one of K2 students’ parent got positive covid 19.
They still waiting for the result from K2 student. That’s why we don’t have school today because
the students not coming to the class but only staffs need to come to the school to clean the
classroom. I have to clean and spray the whole classroom with my homeroom teacher. We are
allowing to go home at 11 am. And tomorrow is Chakri Day and it will be public holiday again.
We will come back to school again on Wednesday.

April 7, 2021 (Wednesday)

A few students absent today. Maybe they are panic about covid. I monitor the students
when they are doing activity and I guide them to complete their work. My math teacher comes to
me and tells me about the situation in the school. We might not have class tomorrow. I cannot
tell anyone about this new unless the school announce. I also worry about my observation class
because teacher Naltan is here and he is ready to observe me tomorrow. I have no idea what I
need to do but I already prepare the lesson for tomorrow. I put everything in God’s hands
because no one knows what’s tomorrow holds on. Let’s see how the school will announce
tomorrow. I just try my best what I can do for my teachers tomorrow.
 April 8, 2021 (Thursday)

Last night around 11 pm and half hour, I received the email from my homeroom teacher
about we would not have school tomorrow. And face to face class suddenly change to online
class again. I just go to school to arrange students’ book because their parents will come and get
the books for the students. My homeroom teacher is very busy today. I want to help her but I
don’t know which one I can help her for online class. I just help what I can.

April 9, 2021 (Friday)

I go to school and continue to arrange students’ book and their workbook. They need to
pick up all the books by today because there will be a long holiday which is Songkran Brake. We
are not sure that they will be able to come to school after long holiday. I need to send the books
to the guard when the parents arrive. Parents need to inform teacher about what time they will be
here. So that I know and I can prepare for them.

April 19-30

It is very quiet because no students are sitting in the class. I have nothing to do and I just
try to gather the materials for my portfolio. I take some pictures of my classroom and prepare for
my portfolio. I feel like I really miss students and want to see the students in the class again. At
last, I would like to thank all the teachers who guide me during my internship. I would like to say
that it’s a wonderful experience that I gain from this school. I have learned so many things which
I can apply them for my future. I will never forget this kind of experience and happiness. I will
miss my collaborating teachers and students when I go back to AIU.
