REFLECTION:
If you are personally and professionally developed
what are its effects towards your learners?
Good teaching is not an accident. While some
teachers are more naturally gifted than others, all
effective teaching is the result of study, reflection,
practice, and hard work. A teacher can never know
enough about how a student learns, what impedes the
student’s learning, and how the teacher’s instruction
can increase the student’s learning. Professional
development is the only means for teachers to gain
such knowledge. Whether students are high, low, or
average achievers, they will learn more if their teachers
regularly engage in high-quality professional
development. School leaders to improve with study,
reflection, practice, and hard work. Their learning
supports not only teachers’ learning, but students’ as
well. When leaders know how to engage teachers,
support staff, and students in effective learning, the
school becomes the center of learning for all adults and
students.

REFLECTION:
Financial planning is essential nowadays as the reality
hits me which sometimes, I tend to buy things even beyond
my means. As a matter of fact, I’m not literate in managing
my finances. I do not give much importance to recording and
organizing my expenses which leads me to become stress
of my financial well-being.
Honestly, I got a loan after my one-year service as
teacher 1 of DepEd. I really regret it because I now realize
that I wasn’t able to manage my finances properly and I
have no investment for myself and for the future. So, my
goals for now are to plug leaks, spend less and save more. I
should pay debts; I must have an emergency fund and I will
invest in insurances for my future.
I made my own proposed budget plan for the
month to help me manage my finances.
MY SITUATION 5 YEARS FROM NOW
Managing finances feels like nothing but managing classroom
instructions as planned. Occasionally, we modify plans and proceed
with innovative strategies to address current situations and needs of
our students. In managing finances, we also employ trial-and-error
approach and become financially wise with new ideas and practices.
So, five years from now, I am looking forward to manage my
finances properly and having a stable income for my family as to be a
teacher with high values and is willing to change lives so they can be a
very good help to our society.
